Percy Harvin asks Minnesota to trade him.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...-to-trade-him/

    Interesting.

I don't think the Ravens should trade for him, but it's slow and I find it somewhat interesting how things have progressed up there. Maybe he's not liking Jerome Simpson and Greg Childs taking snaps from him?

I wouldn't want that "headache" on my team...just kidding. He's got 2 more years left on his contract. Maybe he wants Desean Jackson money. Don't think he'll get it though. If he blows up this year he'll get this money.

    He's a pretty dynamic player.

I don't think he'd be a good fit in Baltimore (at least in Cam's offense).

Come on now. In our offense Percy would be good for 2-3 reverses a game

This guy has some serious medical issues. With all the focus on concussions I would not being paying him big money. The Vikings aren't going to be good for a while. If I was able to get a 1st or 2 2nd round picks I'd trade him. He's going to walk in 2 years anyway.

Here's a blog on the topic: Harvin in a new shade of purple?

I think we can all agree that there is no way that Ozzie trades for him. He got snookered by the Bills last year trading for a guy who seemed to always play hurt the past couple of years. Ozzie never makes the same mistake twice.

I agree with a lot of that blog Tony.

It's enticing because Harvin IS such an explosive player...but he's not someone that I'd really want to see the Ravens go after.

It's someone who I think would be a great addition to the Ravens because of the variety in our offense he would provide, but there is no room for him under the cap, and even if there was, I think the cost to acquire him would probably be at least a 2nd round pick, maybe even a first. I'm not sure that's something we (or any team, really) should be paying for a wide receiver.

    I'd rather Harvin over Jacoby.

Nothing against Jacoby, but Harvin doesn't have the drops issues that JJ has. The only real knock on Harvin is his size (5'10" 185lbs or so) and the migraine issue...whatever that is.

Oh yeah me too. But Jacoby doesn't cost a 1st or 2nd round draft pick.

With Harvin's migraines, I think he's fine. He's always going to have them, but he went all of last season without any issue. Obviously a good sign.
