WAPO poll has Obama-Romney tied on economy
It is absolutely amazing to me that the latest WAPO poll has the two tied at 47% on handling the economy. Romney the private equity financier multi-millionaire vs. Obama the "big government socialist".
Handling the economy is the only area of perceived advantage for Romney in this campaign and he is no better than a wash with Obama. This might be the reason for the difference in the national polls where they are essentially even and the electoral state polls where it is very difficult to see a win for Romney.
Take some time and look at the unemployment numbers in some of the undecided states where Obama maintains leads. Many of these states have unemployment much lower than the national 8%.
I would think Romney would have to hold a significant lead on handling the economy or else he's toast.

Making lemonade from lemons I see.
This is horribly bad news for the President. In four years, he can only manage a tie against a man who hasn't held office in years?

Re: WAPO poll has Obama-Romney tied on economy
In related news:
That said, Romney has inched closer to Obama on the key question of who better understands the economic problems of average Americans, halving a 17-percentage point Obama lead in February to 8 points now. And while blame for the economy still falls more on Bush than on Obama, that's narrowed to 49-34 percent - a still-substantial 15-point margin, but down from 25 points in January. The more Obama takes the blame, the greater his risk.

Ths is laughable.
I have more confidence in the E-trade baby then Obama.
I'm also one of those "tinfoil hat wearers" that believes Obama has succeeded in his GOAL to not only extend the length but also the depth of this recession. His policy decisions can only be made, IMO, if his goal is to eliminate the middle class. I simply can't wrap my head around the concept that he could possibly be tryign to prop up the middle class, there is simply no way possible.

Actually Obama is well ahead in the electoral as even you have seen so this isn't about being tied as an incumbent but nice try - enjoy your lemonade. What this is about and are you going to say you aren't surprised?....is that they are tied on handling the economy. Tied.
If Romney, as the private equity capitalist, can't poll stronger than Obama, in what the republicans have been desperately trying to frame as "Obama's failed economic policies", on handling of the economy he is in serious trouble.
What else can he seriously turn the electoral vote around with?

So you think Romney and private equity is all about building a middle class?
Apparently this nation is split down the middle about who would handle the economy better. My only point on this thread is that is seriously bad news for Romney who has no other angle on this election than the economy. Meanwhile team Obama is hammering Bain just as every politician has who has ever run against Romney both dem and repug. There ain't no way private equity appeals to even 5% of the voting population.
I smell another Palin hail mary coming as a veep. Maybe that blonde ms. America who bumbled her way through the answer on Iraq that Boller dated? Fitting for sure.

Okay, this is slightly off topic, but I didn't think it deserved it's own thread.
This is very minor, but I am trying to figure out which state(s) moved from BHO to toss up. Wisconsin and or Michigan?
