Bam! Put me in my place. :hammer:
That lines wins the award for the ultimate clincher for any argument ever in the political sectiion. When all else goes to hell (just an expression, not trying to scare you with pitchforks and such) just pull out the "yeah, well I would rather hang out with a steeler fan than you".
There is nothing else to say. I mean, how could I ever out-argue that?

Yes this is true. Most polls shows that most of the public is Christian (and I include Catholics as Christians even though your poll above lists them separate because most of the ones I
know are. They are part of the Church to
be sure) that they believe there is a God and
and many go to Church that's about it. That doesn't mean they're Christians. Even the devil believes in God and Christ or that
they exist and are the most powerful. He has spent millineums
fighting them.
There's tons of people in church that are not Christians including officers, teachers and even pastors. We had two pastors commit affairs one with a member of the choir and the other with someone on the outside.
Just going to church or even seminary doesn't
make one a true Christian. One must confess
his sins and ask Christ into his life as Lord and
Savior. That is the Christian and all the ones I
know take the Bible as the inerrant and inspired
word of God.

Re: The Gay Thread cont.
And the name calling begins...
Name calling: debater tries to diminish the argument of his opponent by calling the opponent a name that is subjective and unattractive; These are all efforts to distract the audience by changing the subject because the speaker cannot refute the facts or logic of the opponent.
Now I really am done with this back and forth as it's reached past the point of any intellectual discourse.- Section 133 for eternity!

Exactly, I mean you can see how the Catholic Church just sways with the wind in regard to abortion, gay marriage, gay adoption, birth control, etc.
While some churches like Episcopalians and Unitarians (not really Christian) will marry gays most traditional denominations and non-denominational churches will not.

Re: The Gay Thread cont.
Nothing like a solid take from a cartoon series.
Let's see.
Car invented in Christian country.
Steam engine, same.
Airplane, same.
Computer, same.
Internet, same.
Light bulb, same.
Scientific method, same!
Christians like Newton developed the scientific method.
While Family Guy might be funny its intellectual power might not match the comedy.
