Streeter working out with and learning from Ray
Man, Streeter could be the steal of the entire draft with Ray
coaching him up - really fast. Turns out Ray called fellow
Hurricane and invited him to work out with him and Streeter
jumped at the chance.
I think he's even staying with Ray. Not sure but he says Ray
has a sign in his house that says "PAIN IS A GIFT FROM GOD."
Ray has been stressing training and pushing your body to the
limit. HARBs liked what he saw in Mini Camp.
Imagine Torrey and Streeter lining up with their 4.4 speed. I can't
wait.
With Ray's coaching, it could happen sooner than you think and
Streeter has a chip on his shoulder to prove all those teams
were wrong in passing him up.
Ray also got Suggs and Ngata under his wing and trained them as well.

If he can tap into his potential even a little bit, the sky is the limit.

Re: Streeter working out with and learning from Ray
Agreed. Many felt that had he gone back this year to Miami and come out next year he would have been at least a 2nd rounder. It's funny that Stephen Hill had less production and arguably the same (or close to it) measurables and he went in round 2 and Streeter dropped to round 6. Not that Hill can't or won't be good, but I just think it's funny because when you watch the two on tape they aren't THAT far apart in skill set. I think the only thing Hill has over Streeter is leaping ability.

Re: Streeter working out with and learning from Ray
as much as i liked Hill, even I didnt think Streeter was that far behind him. Really it was just a gut feeling that i had about Hill, but to get him in the 6th is just ridiculous. im still amazed he fell that far, especially when you consider some teams are just taking chances on project WRs in rounds before that, why not the 6'5 39" vertical with 4.4 speed? His hands are huge so really its just a matter of getting him to focus on the catch, which im hoping our WR coach can do (probably a bit optimistic considering our WR coach).

Re: Streeter working out with and learning from Ray
Those huge hands are a big factor. Remember the Squeeler who caught the ball on
the side of his helmet on 3rd and 19 as he ran out of bounds on a play that broke
out back?
That dude had huge hands. That enabled him to hold the ball vs his helmet like that.
Streeter has those big hands.
Does anyone think Ray will be a Ravens coach when he retires?

Ray also helped Michael Phelps get back into training. Phelps said he was burnt
out after Beijing and considered retirement until he talked with Ray who got him
back to training.
Ray really belongs in coaching one day.

Re: Streeter working out with and learning from Ray
Nail, meet hammer. Exactly my thought. If there was ever a time to take a chance on a guy, This is the perfect guy. His ceiling is probably higher than Hill's becuase he's really only gotten the opportunity to be a starting receiver one year in college.
I still think it will take a lot of coaching, and some more mental toughness on his end to really get him to play well, but man if you want a project player this is the perfect kind of guy you want. A guy with all the physical tools in the world, who hasn't' scratched the surface of how good he can be, to get him in the 6th adds more to the Legend of Oz.Lardarius "The predator" Webb
