    Re: All-time Ravens "dream team"

I vote Adalius Thomas 2006 over Adalius Thomas 05 and Sharper 01.

Sharper 00 or 01 should make it as a reserve. Johnson 09 might make it too. You could substitute Sharper and JJ for Thomas and Boulware on obvious running downs.

I'm not sure there is an O-line in history that could block McCrary 98, Suggs 11, Thomas 06, and Boulware 01

    Re: All-time Ravens "dream team"

I'll go Flacco and McNair. I know Vinny's numbers blow them away but I like not having to constantly worry about my QB throwing picks and let's face it, with that O-line and those running backs play action would be available whenever you want it.

I'll go Sharpe with a very slight nod over Heap for two reasons. Number one - Sharpe's intangibles meant so much to the 2000 team and number 2 - he was a great blocking TE as well. Heap in the #2 TE spot and Green #3.

Starks over Webb. If we could base this on potential and not one season I would have gone Webb.

McGahee over Holmes. If we could base this on later performance (when he was with the Chiefs) I definitely would have picked Holmes.

    Sharpe 3-0 over Heap early

    Starks 2-1 over Webb

    Holmes 2-1 lead over McGahee

    I like Vonta Leach too.

But don't forget that we had Sam Gash and Lorenzo Neal at one time, too. I think both, but epsecially Neal, compare well to Leach as devastating blockers.

Or are we only counting their years as Ravens? I would love to have seen Neal block for Jamal Lewis.

And dont forget Alan Ricard, who paved the way for Jamal's 2000 yards in '03.

I would put our "alltime" defense up against the steelers "alltime" defense...what you guys think?

Sam Gash and Lorenzo Neal where awesome full backs, and really it's hard to tell which of the three are the best, because they where all really good.
