    All-time Ravens "dream team"

Not sure if this has ever been done before on this site, but it's a decent way of rehashing our history and passing time during the offseason.

The objective: Fill out one 53 man roster using one particular season from one particular player. You can only use a player once. Should be a source of some good debate and discussion.

The roster will follow this format

    1-2 QB/Backup QB
    3-5 RB/Backup RB/3rd string RB
    6- FB
    7-9 TE/TE2/blocking or 3rd string TE
    10-14 Starting OLine
    15-17 backup O-line
    18-22 WR
    23 K
    24 P
    25 LS (yuck)

For argument sakes, we will use a 3LB/4DL configuration

    26-29 Starting DLine
    30-32 Starting LBs
    33-34 Starting CB
    35-36 Starting S
    37-nickleback
    38-dimeback
    39,40- 5th and 6th CBs
    41-42- reserve safeties
    43-46 reserve LBS
    47-49 reserve D-line
    50- kick returner
    51-53 Special Teams

    Good stuff.

Just to play devil's advocate here.....what would you think about C-Mac's 2003 being placed ahead of his 2006? They were both great seasons, but I thought McAListers 2003 and Revis' 2009 were the seasons by which all other modern CBs are judged. Give me your thoughts there.

Also, Lardarius would make a heckuva nickleback, but what CB would you have as our 2nd starter? I'm struggling to remember a season turned in by anyone other than CMAC that compared to what LW just did......

You should add OC/DC/HC to the mix as well. It could allow for a 4th Lewis, though I suspect some would take Rex. Billick/Harbaugh would also be contentious, I suspect.

Duane Starks had as good a season in 2000 as any other raven CB has had. His post season run that year was better than webbs in 2011. Imo

    19 K Matt Stover 2000

    10 OL Jon Ogden 2003
You know I was going to put in 2000 but Jamal Lewis would not have joined the 2K club without the Oline so I'm going 2003
