Bernard Pollard's restructure reduced his 2012 base salary to $700K. He has new base salaries of $2M (2013), $2.8M (2014) and $2.8M (2015).

Based on the numbers Aaron Wilson just tweeted for Pollard - ie they only saved $100K on Pollard's extension - I've got to think that Jones' 2012 Cap number is going to be very reasonable.

According to Pollard him self, he will be a Raven for the next 4 years, that's unless he drops in performance value or gets injured of course.

Maybe. Pollard's deal wasn't about cap space. The savings for Jones came from Yanda's restructure.

With Pollard it's more that they like him and wanted a safety that they are familiar with signed for next year. It makes sense to me.

$3.55M over last 2 years (3.25 next) seems to be strongly telling me, what Pollard is saying is true, he will be a Raven the next 4 years (barring anything unforseen). Its those back end balloons that make agents look like super negotiators, that get players released before the contract ends (Willis, Peyton)
I'd say besides the superstar Raven-for life like Ray, and JO, we are looking at trememdous blue collar lunchpails who are gonna be a part of the future (Yanda, Pollard) proven by recent FO activity.
