Re: OT - How bout dem O's hon!!!!!

The hitting has really been great this year. Hardy, Wieters, Markakis, Jones, Beta...everyone is playing well at the plate.

Markakis hasn't even really been hitting as well as you can generally expect from him (last night's timely dinger notwithstanding). If the pitching holds up, and some of the hitters can raise their averages, we're really going to be in business.

I agree with this but from what I've seen of Chen you are going to get what you see. My concern with Chen is when the game hits the 5th inning. His ball seems to steadily rise in the zone. By the time the 7th rolls around he is throwing belt high 91 mph fastballs that teams will feast on.

I think once his stamina and body gets use to pitching every 5th day he will be good a number 2 on any team. That's just my opinion on his potential.

And really that's better than we've had in a long time. It's going to really come down to how well they manage him during games. When they see those meatballs starting to become more frequent it's time for him to be pulled out of the game.

These guys aren't that bad for a team that can't beat a community college team.

It's becoming a little scary- this game is only the 3rd O's game I've ever watched (it's live in England) and we've won every one of them!

I'm beginning to think I can drop the cautious from my cautious optimism.

Of course as soon as I say that they decide to make it interesting.

The season is now 1/4 of the way over.

Certainly at anytime the wheels can come off the cart, particularly if injurys become a disruptive issue, but I think you have to say they're for real when you get this deep into the season.

Awesome start for the O's. Some people will say "They start off good every
year and fall off." But here is something they never start off good
    with,winning games on the road.

Getting 15 Wins on the Road

    2009- July 19th 15-29 (44 Games)
    2010- August 10th 15-40 (55 Games)
    2011- July 26th 15-30 (45 Games)
    2012- May 19th 15-5 (20 Games)
