I am not one to doom and gloom but this is probably the single worst injury we could have outside of Flacco. Suggs plays every snap, and does everything, there is no way to replace what he does and no player on the team even close to being able to give half the production he did. This is just horrible, horrible news.

BaltimoreRavens.com just re-tweeted Adam Schefter, which sounds pretty darn close to a confirmation. It's been confirmed by 3 or 4 reputable sources at this point, so it's no longer a rumor.

Apparently there's disagreement over whether it's a partial or full tear, but that doesn't matter. Best case scenario for a partial tear is probably the PUP, worst case is full tear which means he misses all of 2012 and may never be the same.

Achilles tendon is pretty much the worst sports injury possible.

Yea, that is significantly worse than an ACL/MCL injury, which is what I had thought I was reading initially.

Next man up. Bad teams let losing one player ruin their season (Colts) while good teams respond by having everyone else pick up the slack (Pats). I think the Ravens are one of the good teams and will respond accordingly.
