This rumor has been making the rounds on Twitter since late last night. Somebody here originally posted about it, saying Suggs had a torn ACL then changing it to an Achilles. This would now be the 3rd or 4th source I've heard it from, although nothing definitive.
Apparently happened while he was playing basketball. Sounds plausible, in which case it's close to worst-case scenario.

That is going to REALLY impact this defense...although I will say that Ryan Clady did the same thing last off-season and played almost every game last year (if not every game) IIRC. It can be done...but unlikely to be 100% or close for the start of the season.

And before anyone goes nuts the guy can participate in physical activities outside of sports. It could have happened working out or walking down the street for that matter. Hopefully he'll have a quick recovery.
