Re: OT Junior Seau
I was stationed in SD way back in the Fouts era, and became a big SD fan. When I got out of the navy in late 83 and returned home to Baltimore, the Colts pulled out. I stayed a Charger fan till 96 when the Ravs arrived. Junior was a hell of a LB, the Ray Lew of his era. I saw the story of his car "accident" a while back, and knew it was no accident. Rest in peace Junior.

The reports of his mom crying out to God "Take Me! Leave my son alone!" is absolutely heartbreaking

Re: OT Junior Seau
Check out what you can on youtube. Seau is going to the Hall of Fame so you'll see a lot on him.
Back when he was drafted the big debate in New York was whether the Jets at #2 would take Seau. They decided that was just too high for a linebacker and drafted a RB named Blair Thomas instead. Thomas was a complete bust. Jets fans still complain about that screw-up since everyone knew Seau was going to be a star in the NFL. He was that good even as a prospect.

I feel terrible for his kids. They've been robbed. May he rest in peace.

Many of you decided to turn this into a suicide debate. That's fine, just not here.
Your posts have been moved here for further debate.

Re: OT Junior Seau
I admit I cried when I saw her yelling that during her meeting with the press. God bless your soul Junior. And God bless those you left behind. So terribly sad.
I lived in San Diego for 4 years in the 90s. Saw the Ravens there twice (I think it was twice) and went to a few other Charger games. Seau was such a huge presense there. He was an idol there on the level of a Cal Ripken type,-- only a lot livelier, more public. Just a huge, larger than life guy, but incredibly selfless, dedicated to making the lives of others better. It's a terrible shame no one could help him enough when he needed it.
