I can't speak on Hargrove or Fujita, but with Vilma I believe they had hard evidence showing that he was specifically in on the whole bounty program and actively and knowingly participated.

I may be in the minority, but until Goodell comes out and gives valid reasons for these punishments, I'm going to support the players in this instance. These punishments are ludicrous without a really good explanation.

They deserve punishment, HARSH punishment. They earned all of what they're getting. Kudos to Sheriff Goddell.

Again, they have evidence and documentation on Vilma specifically advocating and supporting these bounties.

Vilma reportedly put $10,000 cash on the table in the team’s meeting room and said the cash would go to anyone who could knock Brett Favre out of the NFC Championship Game in January of 2010.

Anyone that could even be remotely linked to Greg Williams and the "bounty scandal" was going to get punished severely. The Saints obviously knew this was going to happen otherwise they wouldn't have signed 2 top rated inside linebackers.
