I actually watched the game (not a big hockey fan) and it looks like they had about 2 or 3 opportunities where the puck just went wide or was deflected just enough.

    I feel ya Pyite.

I have it a little easier since I'm In Phoenix for work so my sleep wasn't that disturbed, but what a let down.

Not a Cap fan, but they should have won that game. They had a handful of legitimate scoring chances where they could have put it away. Ovechkin hitting the pipe was killer, too.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter. The Kings are going to win the Cup (I say that every year but I might be right this time).

Kings are getting hot at the right time, that's for sure.

Sometimes better to be lucky than good, especially in hockey, and that's what the Rangers have been all year. Last night was just another example of a player being in the right place at the right time for us. Gabby has been awful in the playoffs so far, maybe last night will get him back on the right track.

No, they're playing like the team that has the best goal tender in the league, which they do. The only teams that can hope to stop them are the Yotes if Smith stays super-hot or the Rangers if Lundquist gets super hot. But the last team that won seven straight road games to open the NHL playoffs won the Cup.

I really hope they do win it. But ultimately right now I'm rooting for every team in the West and against every team in the East.

The Blues had the best goals against average in the league this year and the Kings are almost making it look easy. 4 goals a game in the playoffs against the only team that allowed fewer than 2 per game during the regular season is pretty bad ass. 7-1 so far against the two teams in the West with the best regular season records.

That Caps performance was ridiculous. No excuse for that.

Getting outshot two to one for the game and still in a position to win it with less than ten seconds to go is a bad way to lose, especially with that dumb penalty. I really dislike the Rangers and almost feel for Caps' fans.
