Big embarrassment to US: Secret Service scandal
This is a major embarrassment to the US gov't. Sec service agents in Columbia were involved with prostitutes and even argued with them over the amount they charged. They were reported to the police who contacted the State Dept who dismissed the agents in the biggest scandal in agency history.
Adding salt to the wound, it seems to have spread to the military.

The links makes an interesting point how under-financed and trained the
agency's agents are. They don't even get the up-dated best weapons
then Chaney's daughter gets a supervisor removed for not taking her
friends to a restaurant.
That wasn't his job.

Re: Big embarrassment to US: Secret Service scandal
Have they heard the stories of the Navy & Marine Corp visiting Thailand, Singapore, and Japan?
I know an old salty Sailor who had done something like 15-16 years in the Navy, ported in Thailand, did his "thing" there and now he has HIV.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: Big embarrassment to US: Secret Service scandal
There is a HUGE difference between random servicemen getting laid off and eleven members Secret Service Presidential Protection Division bringing hookers to the very hotel that's going to house the President while in a foreign and border line hostile country.

Well, yes, that is a very big deal and those guys are a bunch of dumbasses for even thinking that was ok.
I was just pointing out that a lot of government and federal employees traveling abroad make the "most" of lax prostitution laws in other countries. Meaning, it shouldn't come as a shock that some SS guy wants to take in a little "culture" when he's abroad.
However, bringing them to hotel where the President will be staying is pretty dumb. Must've been thinking with his other brain.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Maybe those agents were left over from the Kennedy administration when they snuck all those women into the places where he stayed including the White HOuse and including a MOB gal.

Speaking of Kennedy, even IKE fooled around but one old girl friend wrote after his death that they never consumated the relationship because he couldn't get it up. He took it out by killing Hitler-lol.
Here's some of JFKs girl friends SS agents knew about both in the WH and in hotels including a German spy. The movie stars were set up by his pal Frank Sinatra who had them before he passed them off to Jack. Jackie knew about them all and even quipped:
all is not as it seems in Camelot.

Some of his more famous affairs were with Angie Dickinson, Kim Novak, and the most famous of all, Marilyn Monroe. JFK also had a suite on the 8th floor of Washington's Mayflower Hotel always on his beck and call for any of his extramarital affairs.
During his Presidential race with Nixon, Jack inquired if there were any girls waiting for him before one of their debates. An hour and a half before they were supposed to go on the air, Kennedy was in a hotel room with a hooker. He was also involved with a woman who was suspected of being a German spy at the time, named Inga Arvad who was being watched by the FBI.
Rumor has it FDR didn't die at his desk as reported by agents but on his sofa while screwing his secretary, a gal from Easton, MD.
The agents placed his body behind the desk to make it look like he was working.
What a way to go.
