LOL - Deniro apologizes for first lady joke: sort of

This is getting to be too funny. This is what OBY has
given us - a divided country.

Actor Robert DeNiro spoke at an O BUMMER fund raiser in NY and said the country isn't ready for a white first lady yet and named Romney's, Santorum's and Newt's wives. And someone yelled no.

Michelle Baby got all bent out of shape over it and DeNiro apologized or sort of. Said he didn't mean to offend anyone and was just trying to help the campaign.

If it isn't Rush, it's Maher or Dinero or somebody upsetting the apple cart with jokes.

Meanwhile, Bristol Palin is waiting for OBYs call for support after his million dollar man said she was f*cked so hard a baby fell out. OBYs
    hypocrisy continues.

    And everyone laughed.

    No apology from Maher.

Elsewhere, when a heckler bothered Romney while speaking he said
go vote for the other guy for free stuff. Now that's funny.

That's what I told my bard tender last week when he got into with me.
I said as a bar tender you want all that free health care and other free
stuff OBY gives you while I pay for it.

No more tips from me dudie.

This shows how little you understand about why A.C.A. will work. You bartender and the rest of the service staff at the restaurant and at all restaurants/bars across the country are uninsured because the healthcare insurance industry refuses to insure them. It is the same in hair salons and other high risk industries. These folks are uninsureable, mostly young, and have a tendency to be risk-takers. Most of them choose to go uninsured because it is too expensive for them. You guys call that "liberty". I call it "transfering your health risk onto me". Your bartender might just be making that same choice. So guess what happens when they get sick or injured Trap? You pay for it because for them it is truly free when they show up at the E.R. with anything from a sore throat to a car accident.

I applaud your bartender for it appears that just maybe he is hoping for an environment that will allow him to purchase affordable healthcare insurance via a pool (sound familiar) or even have a subsidy provided (yes, via government, ie you and I)to help him pay for it so at least he has some skin in the game. It is what Democrats refer to as personal responsibility and what Republicans refer to as the scary black guy taking away my "liberties".

I am sure he wont mind not getting a tip from you. You probably historically leave 10% and ramble on about Rush and Beasts and the rest of your typical low-information stuff the whole time.

    High risk?
Again, another sign about how little you understand about insuring people if you don't get this.

Yea, I do Galen. It works just the same way as in all the commie countries.

I have friends that are self employed and they are fully insured and
pay for it. They pay for blue cross and blue shield.

As I said many times in here, when I was laid off for a year I had health
insurance. It was the first thing I paid for. It was only $20 pr mo but that
is like the $120 pr mo I pay now. And during that time I never missed a
    car payment or rent.

I lived alone and off of savings for much of the year then I took a min wage job at $3.35 pr yr and still had health insurance. Then I got my job back but I had insurance. It was with Metropolitan.

In fact; my brother, sister and I all got simonella and ended up in the hospital. I was there for 10 days. My bill came to $4,000 and MET paid
all of it cause I was insured and I was out of work.

Both my grand fathers were in business for themselves and they were
insured. In fact, when they got married in 1915 nobody in the country
had insurance Galen. There was no health insurance for any one and they
all survived. When my mother had to go to the hospital as a kid for two
week my grand father paid them from working hard in his own plumbing
business. My other grand father had his own electrical business. Both were
in the ground floor of those industries in the early part of the 20th Century.

And more mis-information from you. I sing every Tues and Thurs in Bel Air and those waitresses and bar tenders love me. At Half Pints they always ring the bell when I tip them because that means they got a big tip - more than the 20%.

Now, I challenge any member of this board and especially the ones who live in Bel Air to go into Half Pints and ask the bar tenders and waitresses, how much I tip and that will back me up. Just ask for Trap. Everyone knows me. The guy on Main St would back me up also til last week.

I go there every week so I have to tip well but I didn't tip him last week
and he knows why. He was the only guy in that discussion who got
nasty just like you always do in here and the conversation at a bar is
part of the service and he has known me for 8 years.

He should have kept his mouth shut.

Here since you won't read it I'll post something from the article for you.
Others blame the uncertainty on the Obama administration, saying it has been slow in providing guidance.

Last week, the administration released more than 600 pages of long-awaited rules on state-run insurance exchanges through which millions of Americans are expected to obtain base-line coverage.

But health care players are still waiting for rules about the minimum coverage that plans in the exchanges must offer.

    More questions than answers

No matter how they felt about the administration’s approach, states, employers and insurers are left with a laundry list of questions, including how they should go about approving a benchmark plan, how close a plan must come to meet the law’s requirements to be considered acceptable and how to define categories less commonly covered, such as habilitative services.

Acknowledging that there is no widely accepted definition of what qualifies as “habilitative,” the administration has offered an example of a service it could include: speech therapy for a child who is not talking at the expected age. Businesses say the example isn’t enough and that they need to see final rules.

At the core of the arguments are concerns about the ultimate costs of the plans. If states select a benefit-rich plan as their benchmark, insurers will charge more in premiums for all of their plans, and that could raise costs for businesses.

“If you were to require all auto manufacturers to make cars with sunroofs and leather seats, cars are going to be more expensive,” said Katie Maloney, a health care policy specialist at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “What if someone wants to buy a beater?”

While large businesses are allowed to purchase plans outside the exchanges that may not offer the same minimum coverage, they can’t impose any lifetime limits on any essential benefits they do offer. Uncertain of the costs, some large businesses are reconsidering whether to cover any essential benefits at all, Ms. Maloney said.

As they try to figure it out, the clock keeps ticking toward January 2014, when many of the law’s key provisions take effect.

“I think there are more questions than there are answers,” Ms. Maloney said. “We’re urging agencies to issue rules that are clear and simple. We’re looking at a very shortened crunch time.”

Insurers are also preoccupied with the question of whether thousands of new provisions will combine to lower costs or make plans more expensive.

Uncertainty over health care reform began unnerving some business owners even before Congress enacted the legislation.

I'm sorry but I can't help but to crack up at this.

    Really?:insane:

Must be those deadly Maraschino cherries and highly toxic hair shampoos the people in those industrys are forced to work around.

Dude I work in an industry where I do nothing but expose myself to highly toxic chemicals all day, and often in highly dangerous work enviroments, and we are offered health insurance from one of the largest providers in the country.

How about places like hair salons, restaurants, etc. primarily employ people on a part time basis and don't offer their employees insurance because they can get away with it by having them as part time.

Hell, places as large as WalMart do the same thing.

I'd love to hear your explanation as to what you consider high risk at a hair salon or restaurant.

If it's reasonable enough you might persuade me to cut my own hair and never eat out again.
    Will Die A Ravens Fan!!
