CBS / NYT Poll ... Obama at 41%
Galen proclaims one thing. The very sites he gets his drivel from say quite another.
Obama at 41%, with 63% of those polled believe we are worse off than before he took office.

Re: CBS / NYT Poll ... Obama at 41%
One poll I'd like to see is voter enthusiasm. Cause many people I know that voted for him won't vote again and the hardcore people who were falling head over heels are not buying the hype this time around.

The liberal Wash Post/ABC poll says the same thing. OBY is getting hammered by gas prices and CHU, his energy czar just said prices are never coming down. See CHU thread. We should pay our fair share, same as Europeans. A year ago he brought prices down by releasing reserves and more drilling. This time he has done neither. People are angry and $8 gas prices in July will kill him, except for one thing:

A BROKERED CONVENTION WHICH SANTORUM AND NEWT SAY THEY ARE AIMING FOR.
The GOP establishment fears a brokered convention because of so many wild cards and the
dismal results following them. FDR was the last president to win WH after a brokered convention in 1932
but it took a Great Depression for him to win it, same as OBY in 2008. That convention wasn't
brokered but bitterly fought with Hilly.
As Newt said, Harding won the nomination with a brokered convention in 1920 but that's the
last time a GOP nominee won it with one. Every brokered convention since 1948 with Dewey,
Barry Goldwater in 1964, Gerald Ford in 1976, Mondale vs Nixon and DuKakis vs Bush ended in
defeat for the nominee.
So history is vs us if Santorum and Newt force a brokered convention and tomorrow's
southern primaries could go a long way for Santorum and Newt to take it there.
Mitt has double the delegates of Santorum but as Newt said, 1/3 of those are un-committed.
As Coulter says, those delegates are dragging Mitt down.
The GOP has to have a nominee by June so he can spend the rest of the summer fighting and
attacking OBY. He is so vulnerable and will be worse if prices go higher and nobody believes
Galen's phony 8.3% unemployment numbers. Nobody.
The vetting has just begun as these polls show.
TODAY'S LIBERALS ARE THE COMMIES OF 1916. SEE COMMIE THREAD.

Hannity would agree with you but Dick Morris doesn't.
I'm with Dick and today's primaries go a long way to a brokered convention if Mitt can't win at least 1.
It has to be settled by June and it's almost
April.
Rasmussen had Romney winning Mississippi.

Re: CBS / NYT Poll ... Obama at 41%
OBY only has a 2% pt lead amongst women voters: 50% - 48% and SHE/PAC is
crucifying Bill Maher for his repeated attacks on women and OBY accepting $1M
in dirty $$ from him.
And on top of all that, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments on OBUMMER CARE
on the 26th and the White House and most DEMs are worried sick about losing it, so much so
that OBY conducted a prayer meeting and vigil on the steps of the SC building praying to God
that they won't overturne it.
Here's a guy who just attacked the church in the worse way since the emperors of Rome in
the First Century, he praised a college student for her promiscuity in demanding her college
to pay for condoms and said her parents should be proud of her, then he conducts prayer
meetings.
It only hurts when I laugh.

Re: CBS / NYT Poll ... Obama at 41%
1. That poll was completed mostly prior to the employment numbers that were released on Friday. Polls released since the strong employment numbers: Conservative leaning Rassmussen @ 49% and Gallup at a 6 month high of 47%. The trajectory continues to rise.
2. You are aware that even with those oddly low NYTs numbers that the head-to-head numbers in that very poll had Obama 47 - Romney 44. In other words, Obama wins that election EVEN at a polling low for the year.
Hopefully you are enjoying your 410k gains today. I know I am. Just dropped my tax stuff off at the accountant last week and she informed me of my 12% growth since we put money back into stocks a couple years ago.

Romney never had a shot in MS or AL. He didn't even campaign there. Both states are proportional anyway and he still managed to get a third of the delegates.
He's the nominee. Those saying he's got it locked up are accurate when they say the math is on his side.
The more the conservative vote is split by Santorum and Gingrich, the more it helps Romney.

Re: CBS / NYT Poll ... Obama at 41%
With all due respect, You're right and wrong HR.
The states were proportional and each candidate got 1/3 of the delegates
as Santorum keeps picking them up. So does Newt.
However, Santorum forced Romney to spend and campaign in those
states even though he wanted to ignore them. Over the weekend he was
down there joking with the natives saying "yu all" and said he had fun eating grits many diff ways. Newt responsed saying I grew up here and ate grits in every way imagineable. It was both funny and sad because he
was was bad imitating the southern accent and you knew he was gonna
lose-lol.
Now he's on a plane following Santorum to Puerto Rico to get those
delegates after campaigning heavily in Missouri. They're all desperate because Romney can't put Santorum away.
____________________________________________
But his inability to pull cleanly away from former Sen. Rick Santorum is forcing Romney to spend precious time and money in states he'd prefer to ignore. He made several campaign stops in Alabama and Mississippi, which are solidly in the GOP column in November
____________________________________________
Again, both Sant and Newt are picking up delegates along the way
and could force a brokered convention.

Re: CBS / NYT Poll ... Obama at 41%
As the polls now come out AFTER the Friday job report:
Mitt Romney has retaken a significant lead nationally in the race for the Republican presidential nomination, even as he has fallen further behind Barack Obama in a general election matchup. Moreover, Obama’s own job approval rating has reached 50% for the first time since last May, shortly after the killing of Osama bin Laden.
The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted March 7-11 among 1,503 adults, including 1,188 registered voters and 538 Republican and Republican-leaning voters, finds that Romney leads Rick Santorum, 33% to 24%, in the GOP nomination contest. A month ago, the two men were in a virtual tie (28% Romney, 30% Santorum).
But both GOP frontrunners are running well behind Barack Obama in general election matchups. Among all voters, Obama leads Romney by 12 points (54% to 42%) and Santorum by 18 points (57% to 39%). Obama’s advantage among women voters, while largely unchanged from a month ago, remains substantial – 20 points over Romney and 26 points over Santorum.
Obama also holds an enthusiasm advantage over both of his main GOP rivals. In a matchup with Romney, 41% say they support Obama strongly, compared with only 28% who strongly support the former Massachusetts governor. Obama holds a commanding 45% to 28% lead over Santorum in strong support.

Ouch.
Just shows how important it is to read between the numbers and not just look at them.

Re: CBS / NYT Poll ... Obama at 41%
Thats more bull shit pulled out of Galen's ass as usual.
OBYs numbers are dropping because of gas prices. He's freaking out forcing CHU to back pedal and saying prices should come down.
He's even with Romney who hasn't even gotten the nomination and ahead of
Sant who won't get it. Mitts too busy fighting Newt and Sant to fight OBY.
Wait til he gets the nomination.
The people are pissed and his numbers are dropping as prices go up and
nobody believes that phony job report because everyone knows we lost
over 2M jobs. Over 19% of the country is unemployed and that doesnt
count the under-employed - people with part time jobs because they
can't get full time jobs.
Everyone knows the gov't is lying as these CBO numbers have shown.
And nobody in here pays attention to wha Galen says.
