Another strong jobs report predicted for this Friday regarding the month of February
ADP, who releases their report 2 days before the first Friday of the month report, saw an increase of 216,000 private sector jobs in February. Good news for those who actually like seeing our country repair itself after the Bush years:
Employment in the U.S. nonfarm private business sector increased by 216,000 from January to
February on a seasonally adjusted basis. The estimated advance in employment from December
to January was revised slightly upwards to 173,000 from the initially reported 170,000.
Employment in the private, service-providing sector rose 170,000 in February, and employment
in the private, goods-producing sector increased 46,000 in February. Manufacturing
employment increased 21,000.
Employment on large payrolls—those with 500 or more workers—increased 20,000, and
employment on medium payrolls—those with 50 to 499 workers—rose 88,000 in February.
Employment on small payrolls—those with up to 49 workers—rose 108,000 that same period.
Of the 108,000 jobs created by small businesses, 18,000 jobs were created by the goodsproducing
sector and 90,000 jobs were created by the service-producing sector.
Employment in the construction industry grew by 16,000 in February, marking the fifth
consecutive monthly gain in this sector. Employment in the financial services sector increased
14,000 in February, marking the seventh consecutive and largest monthly gain over the last two
years.

I guess we will be seeing more vaginal distractions and scary black man stuff coming from the GOP in the next month.

Re: Another strong jobs report predicted for this Friday regarding the month of February
For infomation concerning the nature of the construction sector see the
empty houses across the court and up the street. They've been vacant
for over a year and both occupants were in the construction sector.
More BS from Galen and his govt's phony job numbers that even DEMs
don't believe.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics looks at the loss of 2.5 million jobs, and they say, “Well, we think 1.2 million have just decided to give up looking for work so we won’t count half of them, just to make things more accurate.” And even with that major cheat, that still leaves more than a million-and-a-half lost jobs unaccounted for. Fewer people looking for jobs brings down the jobless rate. In this case, not more people finding jobs brings down the jobless rate. Fewer people looking for jobs is what’s bringing the unemployment rate down. There isn’t job creation going on. Not to the tune the regime wants you to believe it. It just isn’t happening.

Slowly but surely we appear headed in the right direction. Sadly, I find myself wondering what will be the next disaster that sends us back again.

9.1% unemployment, per Gallup.
Oops.

DC alone took $885M in stimulus money and has nothing to show for it.
No jobs - zero, nada, nutten, zip.
The job market is one of the worse in the country.
Don't we know someone over there?
Ask them and Michigan and Ohio if recovery is getting better.
19% of the country is unemployed.

No matter how you slice it, there are two million fewer jobs in this country since Oby took office, two million fewer jobs that you can get, two million fewer jobs to be filled. And that number is from place called PolitiFact, which is the fact checkers at the Atlanta "Urinal Constipation," two million fewer jobs since the regime came to power.

Re: Another strong jobs report predicted for this Friday regarding the month of February
or in reality:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Employment grew solidly for a third straight month in February, a sign the economic recovery was broadening and in less need of further monetary stimulus from the Federal Reserve.
Employers added 227,000 jobs to their payrolls last month, the Labor Department said on Friday, while the unemployment rate held at a three-year low of 8.3 percent - even as more people returned to the labor force.
Economists polled by Reuters expected payrolls to increase 210,000 last month and the jobless rate to be unchanged.
It marked the first time since early 2011 that payrolls have grown by more than 200,000 for three months in a row - bolstering President Barack Obama's chances for re-election.

Employers added 227,00 jobs but the unemployment rate stayed the same
The ridiculousness and obvious attempt of Reuters to spin that as good, and you falling for it is funny as hell... in a sad way.

The U.S. economy added 227,000 jobs in February vs. expectations for 206,000, continuing a recent trend of decent hiring activity. The unemployment rate held at 8.3%.
But America remains mired in the longest jobs recession since the Great Depression. It's been 49 months since the U.S. hit peak employment in January 2008. And with nonfarm payrolls still 5.33 million below their old high, the jobs slump will continue for several more years.Last edited by NCRAVEN; 03-09-2012 at 11:46 AM.

From CNBC ....

Though the labor force participation rate actually increased to 63.7 percent in February, it remains near historic lows. Those not looking for jobs are simply not counted in the official jobless rate. The rate is thus treated with skepticism as an accurate gauge for measuring the job market's health.
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said in recent remarks to Congress that the current rate "no doubt understates the weakness in the labor market in some broad sense."

LOL - Talk about Media distortion:
Oh and btw, Drudge is not a conservative sight as a certain mod said. They sold out to the liberal establishment attacking Santorum while pimping the liberal Romney and just dropped their link to Rush, Mr. Conservative. Most of the other conservatives
are defending Rush and some of the sponsors that left him came back or tried to. Not sure if
Rush accepted them as he got others.
And unemployment under the hated Bush was 5% in 05 and 06.

Re: Another strong jobs report predicted for this Friday regarding the month of February
Strong jobs report?
That would be at least twice the number of jobs were are getting.
At least 1/2 million per month was what was considered strong.
Lowered Expectations. That's some change, but the hope is gone.
