Monday Night Football Words of Wisdom

Did anyone happen to catch Joe Theisman's words of wisdom on MNF tonight? "They will have to run with their bodies on top of their legs". Is there any other way to run?

Someone had to be the Madden of the group.

I laughed so hard when I heard that xD

While we're on the subject, ESPN continues to show how fantastically crap they are. American ESPN image is on, very nice, and in the middle of the game they switch to the latin ESPN (because obviously for all the ESPN execs know, we speak Spanish here in Brazil), in which the image is INFINITELY worse, and they even managed to not show a play because some dolt was interviewing Marshall Faulk!

GOD I hate ESPN. I hope they start showing some games on FOX soon, because otherwise I'm gonna go nuts

You don't have to be a Norman Einstein to know you run best with your body on top of your legs.

Thankfully I've only seen one quarter of MNF this year, it seems like this gamecrew is absolutely hopeless.

Okay, I give up -- what point was he attempting to make with this?

Theisman is pretty bad, but that's dumb even for him (but not as funny as Madden's "They ran it right up the A-hole!" comment).

I'm not really sure what point he was trying to make, but it was such a ridiculous statment that the other announcers were making fun of him.

Personally, I think the whole MNF show should have been on Comedy Central. Bono and U2 singing about being an American? What the hell do they know about being an American?

Not to take up for Joe but I think he meant that some people can walk or run on their hands, circus people for example.

"Norman" Einstein is one of my favorite Theismanisms. Did anyone else catch that he called Scott Fujita (pronounced: Foo-Ge-Ta) Scott Fajita (pronounced Fa-He-Ta)? Maybe he just wanted some mexican food?

I'll tell you what, as much as I like Tony they neeed to can those three and promote the B team of Vermeil, Jaworski, and the play by play guy I can't remember.

I'd prefer they'd bring back the Sunday night team from last year, I thought Dan Patrick made a great play-by-play announcer, IMHO.
