Re: GOP back to delegitimatizing Obama

Tell you what Galen - I'll keep up with the dates if you keep up with the facts like this
3 yr anniversary of OBYs stimulus that left
    most of the country unstimulated.

It seems hard for you to keep up with the dates while all I have to do is quote the conservative Wall Street Journal when it says:

Thirty-eight of the 54 surveyed economists, not all of whom answered every question, said the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act boosted growth and mitigated job losses, while six said the legislation had a net negative effect.

On average, economists estimated that the stimulus added one percentage point to growth in 2009; they forecast gross domestic product would expand 3% this year, compared with 2.2% in the absence of stimulus. They estimated that the February unemployment rate, reported at 9.7% last week, would have been 10.4% without the stimulus.

38 said the stimulus boosted the economy and prevented it from going in the direction "W" had it going while only 6 say it was a negative effect. Hmmmmmmmmmmm 38+ and 6-. Looks like we have yet another Obama success.

    And lets not forget what the Fed did;

the Fed's interventions likely played a bigger role in pulling the economy out of its tailspin, economists said. In their paper, Messrs. Sinai and Edelstein estimated that the Fed's actions boosted GDP growth by 1.9 percentage points in 2009 and would add 3.3 points this year.

Hey Trap...Its February 21, 2012 now. At midnight (12:00 a.m.) the date moves one day forward on the calendar.

Hang with me and I will keep you abreast on the economy as well as the date.

Re: GOP back to delegitimatizing Obama

UM, the date of your link is 2010 Galen
It's 2012, two years later and things
    are worse.

Now here's a link over a year later in
July 2011 saying more economists now
see that the stimulus didn't meet it's own
    standards, especially in employment. The
grueling fact which we always said is, the
gov't is bad at creating jobs.

    This guy from Harvard says:
    _____________________________
In the long run you have got to pay for it. The medium and long-run effect is definitely negative. You can’t just keep borrowing forever. Eventually taxes are going to be higher, and that has a negative effect.
    _______________________________

I told you that 3 years ago and Im not
    from Harvard. :)

    http://amerpundit.com/2011/07/06/mor...imulus-failed/

    Please try to keep up.

OBY said the stimulus was needed to keep unemployment under 9%. It went over 9% after the stimulus. It's going up again.

And those stats don't count the under-employment rate. That doubles that 9%.

Feeling pain at the gas pump?

Most Americans are since gas rose by 100%
    under OBY. That's not recovery.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/...e-under-obama/

Food prices have increased also but guess what, our gov't doesn't even count gas and food prices as part of inflation.

    http://fellowshipofminds.wordpress.c...s-under-obama/

You omitted a big fact like the

$4T OBY added to the deficit. The country can still go by the way of Greece.

That 4T doesn't do much for the economy.

And last but not least, OBY cost us our
AAA bond rating which was lowered for the first time in history but no one would expect you to understand the importance of that
Galen but your kids will when they are
    like the Greeks.

Now take a look of these itemized price
increases which effect two groups the most -
    the poor and the elderly.

The price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the city has jumped 83%, from $1.79 in January 2009 to $3.28 by December 2011. It's now up to $3.59
around here and almost $5 in L.A.

The price of one pound of 100% ground beef has gone up 24%, from $2.36 in January 2009 to $2.92 by December 2011.

The price of one pound of sliced bacon has gone up 22%, from $3.73 in January 2009 was $3.73 to $4.55 in December 2011.

Ice cream prices, for a half-gallon, rose 19.1%, from $4.44 in January 2009 to $5.25 in December 2011.

Whole wheat bread prices increased 5.02% from $1.97 in January 2009 to $2.07 in December 2011.

I just saw bread for $3 in the store.

Yeah so I just heard the soundbite on a Sunday morning show as I was walking through the living room. When you hear the entire quote and context it wasn't what it was made out to be at all.

Funny how the left and the media is trying to make an election where government spending, deficits, unemployment, foreclosures, gas prices, inflation are at or near record highs about social issues....
