And that one stat is probably the biggest indicator of improvement from last year. Few turnovers on our part and causing more from our opponents.

Gotta love it. But can we keep that up?

Our run defense has been awesome. I don't know who is number two but I suspect we're ahead of them by a wide margin.

I'm actually a little surprised we're second in YPG allowed -- who is first?

I believe it's San Deigo, but thats only because they were idle this week.

Woudn't it be great if that offense in the 4th quarter kept going against San Diego and we really made a statement.

I'm really excited about the matchup.

It might be San Diego, but the fact they were idle this week shouldn't factor into it, since this stat is yards per game.

+10 after 3 games. Kinda ridiculous.

    Re: Statistical analysis: Week 3

Even after yesterday we're in the top 5 for pass defense. Offense is slightly better, but I imagine we'll be in the top 16 of all category's before the season comes to a close.

Although the defense was slightly susceptible to the pass yesterday, they still appear nearly as dominant as the Purple Pain Defense of old...

Guys flying to the ball, hellbent for destruction is just the way we like em'...

Now if only the offense could operate with even HALF that precision we'd be making reservations for South Beach in February...:D

Some more DEFENSIVE stats as well:

    Yds/Rush - 1.8 (1st)
    Yds/Play - 3.5 (2nd)
    INTs - 7 (1st)
    Penalty Yards - 83 (2nd)

Bottom line, our defensive numbers have just been sick this year. With the talent & speed we have back there, a brutal pass-rush spells disaster for the opposition.
