    I agree. I like that Pees wont change the defense all that much- keep the style that worked (unlike Mattison).

    Now lock up that beast of a CB we have, maybe try and extend Cary Williams, add a pass rusher and lets watch them ball. Gonna need a good defense next year against all those top teams (NE, Pitt, Cinci, Houston, SD, Dallas, NYGiants).

    I'd be curious to know the dirt on why he left when his contract expired. Usually successful DC's are renewed. I'm not saying I don't like the hire, because I do, I'm just curious about NE.

    Belicheck is a defensive coach himself and decides a lot of the game plan.

    Not to mention 80% of the talent from that defense was gone from when he started. It was in his best interest to leave. Most underrated and overlooked part of those Superbowl winning Pats teams.
