I agree.

That's why when Popular Mechanics challenges the facts and finds not one shred of evidence backing the so called "Truthers", I tend to believe them.

Or when ABC News finds a half dozen scientists to corroborate the majority of the findings in the Warren Commission, I believe the science behind the claims.

But I will say you give far too much credence to our Government. They cannot balance their books yet some would argue they can concoct these vast conspiracies, involving dozens, sometimes hundreds of people, yet nothing is ever proven, leaked or talked about.

I guess then you would need to ask who in the government is really "in the know"?

There are things that even the President of the US isn't privy to due to "need to know" clearance issues. As crazy as that is to think about, it is true.

I understand what you're saying, but I think a majority of the government's inability to balance the budget and simple things such as that are more about them being a bunch of apathetic and power hungry bastards. They could balance the budget, but why? They're all (or most of them at least) making millions off of the way things are now.

Balancing the budget may be a bad example. Look at anything the Government does and it's done with inefficiency and ineffectiveness time and time again.

As for Ft Knox, I have no idea, nor do I care. It's a military base first and foremost so if there is gold there or not is immaterial.

I read an article not too long ago stating a product or service from conception to on the shelf in Apple was approximately 7-10 months. In the Federal government, on average, it's 36 months.

Isn't that incredible?

I think I read that same article or something similar.

They also said (paraphrasing) that it would cost approximately $5,000 to build an iPhone on government terms / contract.

Now we're getting somewhere. You're last two posts are spot on and I
agree. Nothing has been debunked but they're there. I'm just trying to
point to some details.

I of course believe in the Bible stuff but many Christians disagree
and some write off Revelation as heresy. My own brother who is
Au or No mill says it's all symbolism even though the
word mill kingdom is mentioned 4 times in Revelation. You have
to look up the old testatment verses like in Jeremiah and Ezekial
to put the picture together.

Some Christians called Preterists believe the Anti-Christ has already been
here in the form of Nero who murdered thousands of Christians and that
is the tribulation that Revelation speaks of. Nero's pic was on Roman coins
just like Wash is on ours and he was referred to as a beast when the
book was written but I ask my brother, if it's all symbolism, what does
mill represent? Symbolism means something else. He never answers me
and he has a Masters degree in divinity.

The mill kingdom
is self explanatory and Ezekial's details of the third temple are too detailed
to be anything but the temple the anti-christ will live in. Nero didn't
live in a temple and the persecutions went on for over 100 years with
other emperors murdering them too, not just Nero's time.

The Christians can't agree on it.

Like I said, conspiracies makes it fun and many of the prophesies spelled
out in Daniel have come true today such as the forming of Israel in 1948.
Daniel said Israel will be reborn after generations of the Jews' separation
from that state and it happened. This is even called the age of Bible
prophesy fulfillment.

Private companies like Apple and Microsoft are in competition to survive,
so they have to be efficient. The Gov't has always been here and always
be here, even if it is overthrown by liberals, some gov't will be here and
it will be even bigger and worse than it is today.
