I guess now with another coordinator, they'll get to see if the issue was Schottenheimer or Sanchez. Got a text from my old boss that the OL and WR coaches were gone too.

I think the issue was both. Sparano is a good hire but they need some real tough love if they are going to salvage Sanchez.

This was to be expected by many Jets fans. Their initial reaction to the Press Conference, held by the Jets front office, was that they are kidding themselves in thinking that they can keep everything the same. However, it did not take long for them to realize what was really happening. The Jets were trying to pump up Brian Schottenheimer for the Jacksonville Jaguars job and he would have been let go if that job went to someone else. The job went to Mularkey, who was in a similarly difficult situation in Atlanta, leaving the Jets to get rid of Schottenheimer themselves.

Rex Ryan "It's good to be the head coach, It's good to be the head coach" Heads had to roll after going 8-8, surely Rex wasn't going to take the fall for doing poorly this year. Bet he goes next year if the results aren't any better. But for now"It's good to be the head coach"
