I've heard that Winston Moss could be his replacement. Moss was an awesome Raider and has been a good coach for the Packers. That would be a great choice.
    Dude! RELAX!

Hue has been around for awhile, so I'm surprised that he made the cardinal mistake of making a power move. The only guys that can do that are the ones with SB rings.

You can't call him a prick for making a move for the brass ring. There's only 4 black GM's in this league. He wasn't trying to wait to be anointed. He made a play. It went badly. Now he's gotta pay the price because EVERY GM and owner knows (or will know come post SB mtgs) what happened, and Hue may not be hired as a coach ANYWHERE.

Besides, the DC deserved to be fired.
After 5 years of early exits, the journey is finally complete.

Re: Bring Back Hue!!! Can't believe Raiders fired him.

I don't understand why people think Hue would be so good as a OC.

He has never been any good...the highest his offense has finished passing is 17th.

How is he any better than what we've had?

Re: Bring Back Hue!!! Can't believe Raiders fired him.

He rolled the dice with Palmer thinking he'd get them in the POs and
    lost.

Guys that new Al said he would never trade draft picks, especially hi
    picks and especially all those.

Al's Son is running things now but the Raiders definitely improved
under Hue over Cable who broke an assist's jaw when he wanted to
off him and that was after he roughed up his wife. Mean dude that Cable.

Anyway, when Cable was still with OAK I saw him talking to HARBs for
a while after the game. We beat them and it wasn't just a hand shake
and see ya later and you could see Cable really respected HARBs by the
way he was looking at him. They were discussing something big.

Next thing I read is Cable hires Hue and then Hue replaces Cable.

    Amazing.

When he called the Palmer deal the greatest move in the history of football, I kinda knew he was full of it

Not sure where you're getting the idea that Al didn't trade draft picks, he made several high-profile trades during his tenure. He did value the draft highly though; Al Davis pretty much single-handedly invented the modern scouting system and a lot of scouting techniques used by most teams today. How revolutionary and groundbreaking Davis really was is overshadowed now by his missing on several high picks in the past few years, but that can happen to any team.

Although I don't know if this was the direction you were going in, Tom Cable has a long history as a solid OL coach. We use a similar system with combo man/zone blocking as he coached in Oakland. Reports have said he's looking to move away from Seattle this offseason, he would probably be a good fit here, except for the whole complete jerk-off thing.

They traded away their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round pick before Al passed...the Raiders traded future picks regularly even before Hue got there.

Palmer was all Hue, but it didn't just start when he got there...

Hue would be god especially if he would bring Owens and Haynesworth with him

Didn't Al Davis trade a 1st round pick to the Pats for Richard Seymour? An aging 3-4 DE that didn't fit the defense his team was running at that time AND was in the last year of his contract. To say Davis wouldn't have made that deal is a stretch.

What? Before Hue came to Oakland their O were 28-32.. In 2010-2011 they were 10-11 overall.. seems to me very impressive considered QB mess, injuries and their playmakers.. And their passinggame ended 11th this year.

Except from the OP, I am not seeing many here who like to get him back.. As a member of the O coaching staff I do.

No one is doubting his abilities as an offensive coach. It's the other things that are the issues. Hue Jackson will throw anyone under the bus for his own gain. He is not a team player unless he has complete control of that team. It's been an issue everywhere he's been and it's the reason why the Raiders let him go.

What does Hue being black have to do with anything?

Yeah...because before this past season when he was the head coach, his passing attacks in Washington, Atlanta, and Oakland when he was the OC never ranked higher than 17th (Rannkings in graphic on the right)

He isn't this great OC mind here...he has not gotten the results to back those beliefs up.
