I wonder hw come I never noticed this before about the 2011 draft...

Every 2011 draft pick made the roster. Does anybody know if this is unusual? For a team with aspirations of a Superbowl, this seem incredible to me.

    good observation, I hadn't noticed.
I think teams traditionally keep all their picks for at least a year, unless their roster is really loaded. a really loaded team might use late picks on specialists (kicker, punter, long snapper) or high-risk/high reward types. struggling teams emphasize depth and position.
I think we had a really good draft all the way down. McPhee (5th round) was a total steal, and I'm looking forward to Anthony Allen running downhill soon. I've always felt it takes 2-4 years to judge a draft.
I've never heard of a complete draft staying with the team for 2-3 years.

We've drafted really well, even by our standards, the last few years. That bodes well for the future, obviously.

I did a search awhile back (can't find the thread now) & of the 21 players drafted by the Ravens since the start of 2009, 18 were (as of season's end) on someone's 53-man roster, and the other 3 were on IR (Jason Phillips, Ramon Harewood, & I can't recall the third). That's pretty amazing.
