Those Florida teams were as big as it got in that state. Everyone on those teams was treated like gods. Many have had issues in the NFL when they no longer are the dominant players they were.
Look at Reggie Nelson of the Bengals. Nelson was a Captain and real leader of the Florida defense. He was a great college player and got to stay in the area when the Jags took him in the first round. Jack Del Rio didn't care what Nelson did in college. Del Rio was upset with what Nelson wasn't doing on the Jags. After just 3 years the Jags traded Nelson to the Bengals for a nothing player. Nelson has all the attitude of a great college player without the ability to back it up in the NFL. That's the culture they built down there and Tebow seems to be the only one not affected by it.
