What a lousy story. Sad news. Hope he recovers 100%. As much as they are a rival, I never like seeing bad things like this happen........

Thanks for the nice wishes BC. That day she passed back in 2006 was a big emotional blur, but one thing I remember is coming out of the Burn Unit and to talk to well-wishers/supporters in the family waiting area. The NFL Draft was on the TV and at the time I came out I saw Paul Tagliabue announcing that the Ravens had drafted Haloti Ngata. A little something Ravens related, so I'm not too off topic here . . .

Good story about the Ngata draft. They say that "time heals all wounds", but the loss of a mother (and I did years ago too), really stays with you forever. That may be a good thing because you never want to forget the woman who gave you life. I surely have not... Bc

    Wow that is horrible.....

Does anyone else feel some weird things happening..

    -First Big Ben's ankle..
    -Then Mendenhall's ACL
-Then Ryan Clark just so happens to have to go to the only city in America he cant play in.
-Then this, i know this is SOOOO MUCH MORE SERIOUS. But strange things are happening in Pittsburgh this week.

For once in my life i'm feeling really bad for the Steelers organization, My God see Kirby Wilson Through this difficult ordeal. Football be damned.

Bc - Truer words never spoken (or posted) my friend. I am also sorry for your loss - you never fully stop grieving for the loss of a parent. Just circle the wagons and be thankful for the loved ones surrounding you this very day. A very Happy Festivus to you!

Heard about this earlier, but had no idea it was this serious. I sure wish the guy well. It's been a rough week for the Steelers, injury setbacks for Ben and Pouncey, Clarks health issues, Mendenhalls ACL and now this news is just heart breaking.

This may be OT, but one of the wonderful parts of life is the generational continuance of family. My daughter (I only have the one) will always remember "gramma" holding her hand walking down the street with a big smile on her face. The mother of my wife, who is the mother of my child. I absolutely feel for your loss and wish you (and your family) the happiest of New Years (2012) and beyond... Bc

They mentioned this on SiriusNFL but only in passing, as though it was incidental. I had no idea it was this bad.

Horrible story; wish him the very best.
