Symmetry?
In 2008, the first Ravens/Steelers game was at Heinz Field, where the Steelers won in overtime. Both teams had continued success throughout the season, leading up to a December game at M&T. It was widely believed that the game would decide who won the AFC North that year. The Ravens played tough and had a lead, late in the fourth quarter. Then, Ben Roethlisberger drove 92 yards for the, albeit controversial, game winning TD. Both teams made the playoffs that year, with the Steelers getting a first round bye.
The Ravens, as expected, went into Miami and defeated the dolphins. Then, when they weren't so heavily favored, they went into Nashville and defeated the Titans. By the AFC Championship Game, the Steelers were clearly the healthier team. Terrell Suggs was all, but playing on one good arm. Samari Rolle was hurt.
Pittsburgh was able to pull that game out late, going on to the Super Bowl.
The first game of the 2011 season between the two was at M&T, with the Ravens getting the victory. Both teams saw success, throughout the season, leading to a November game at Heinz Field. The Steelers played tough and had a lead, late in the fourth quarter. Then, Joe Flacco drove 92 yards for the game winning TD. Both teams have made the playoffs, with the Ravens getting a first round bye.
The Steelers are expected to go into Mile High and defeat the Broncos. However, due to their injuries, will not be as heavily favored, if they have to go into Foxboro and play the Patriots. That could set up an AFC Championship game where the two teams meet again with, once again, an advantage going to the team with the bye.

Re: Symmetry?
Dolphins ran a gimmick offense with a QB that was a question mark. Broncos run a gimmick offense with a QB that is a question mark.

Re: Symmetry?
Very interesting, hadn't notice that. It is eerie similar. Maybe it's a sign from the football gods that the tide is turning.

Re: Symmetry?
Here's some really cool symmetry, but not really related to the Steelers/Ravens meetings in 2008.
Rush Yardage for Jamal Lewis in 2000 - 1,364 Yards
Rush Yardage for Ray Rice in 2011 - 1,364 Yards
Will the end result for the Ravens be the same? We'll see . . .
