I remember Bart proclaiming that players were probably jealous when Trevor Pryce was signed to the Jets now he's possibly on his way to the unemployment line (probably not for long though). Have to say that his remarks about the Ravens after he left soured me on him a bit.

Re: "Can't Wait!"
At least Rex and the Jets don't have to worry about losing again this year in the AFCC game.

Re: "Can't Wait!"
I'd bring him back as MLB depth assuming Ayanbadejo retires.

Re: "Can't Wait!"
Didn't realize his play had dropped so significantly. Does he belong on the list of LB's suffering with Life After Ray Syndrome?

Bart Scott to be cut
Per PFT:

I didn't expect that after 2 years.

Re: Bart Scott to be cut
It sounds like Bart and Ray Lewis signed similar deals when we were all debating which of them to keep after '08. "Seven year" incentive-laden deals that will actually last three or so. And their careers are petering out around the same time. This is an interesting comparison since Ray's five years older and all.

OL - Bart goes the way of Hartwell, AD and so many
others after leaving here but I loved the comments
section where a fan wants to fire Matt Cavanaugh.
Where have we heard that one before?
Then another fan says he will sign with
Baltimore. I don't think so, especially not
with $5M or so due him.

Wow. Well, I thought that Bart Scott played a very good game yesterday, but it was clear that David Harris was the best linebacker on that team.

Re: Bart Scott to be cut
IMO he's always been the third best LB on that team.
1. Harris

Re: Bart Scott to be cut
To be fair, if Ray Lewis was not the HOF, face of the franchise LB when he signed his deal...would he not suffer the same fate? I'm not trying to speak ill of Ray, but if you just look at his last three years only, he's probably not worth how much he'll make. That said, you just can't cut him for his leadership role, his value to the franchise, and the fact that NOBODY on our roster can replace him and do better.
Flame on....

I don't think that Scott would come back to the old lady friend with apologies.
