Re: Bart Scott to be cut

NFL Network just reported Santonio Holmes was escorted out of the locker room by Jets personnel. Could he have been cut today as well?

    I love this article:

Frankly I love anything that shows the Jets in complete meltdown. :)

Scott has really slowed down. He just can't move quick enough to play MLB in a 3-4. I like Scott but I think he's done, at least in our scheme.

Bart Scott has looked really slow the past couple of years. The big hit in Roethlisberger followed by making it to a Probowl as a 3rd alternate (i think?) seemed to hype his stock a bit. I was a Scott fan as a was a poster child for being an overachiever. He will be picked up by a second tier team and probably play a couple more years in anonymity.

He's not the same player he once was but I loved him when he was a Raven. Hope he invested well

I remember Bart proclaiming that players were probably jealous when Trevor Pryce was signed to the Jets now he's possibly on his way to the unemployment line (probably not for long though). Have to say that his remarks about the Ravens after he left soured me on him a bit.
Well Pryce is done and now Bart is too, well before his contract is.

Meanwhile Suggs, Ngata got their$, Suggs is about to be DPOY, consistently talks about playing like a Raven (with pride) - oh and we have the #2 seed in the AFC.

    Guess Bart was wrong.

Best wishes to Bart. I met him back in '07 and he struck me as a personable guy. Maybe he said some things he shouldn't have said when he left, but that happens a lot in football with the motivation, etc. I'm sure he'll be playing somewhere in the NFL next year.

This just goes to show you that, far more often than not, Ozzie Newsome keeps the right guys. Suggs got his money and, as mentioned by another poster, is now a Defensive MVP candidate. Haloti Ngata got his money, is widely considered the best defensive tackle in the league and the only reason he is not being considered for the Defensive MVP is, because of he plays with Suggs.

somebody on the NFL network (Dukes?) said that Bart has slowed and is no longer a 3-down backer.
Ozzie continues to keep the right players and let the wrong ones go (Adalius, Dmase).

Do you really believe anything Dukes has to say? He and Assless (ESPN) are the same.
