Who takes David Reed's roster spot?

I predict Boren if Yanda's injury is serious or Josh Bynes if not

I think it's Boren either way, but I hope your hypothesis is correct and we see Josh Bynes back in purple in Cincy on Sunday :)

I agree it's depend on Yanda and so may be Justin Boren

Boren was promising in pre-season, I look forward to seeing him
I think he'll nail down a roster spot next season. I think he could become a UDFA steal :)

Probably another guy who can get down the field and tackle on special teams.

Yea, ST's coverage has been really bad this year.

Hopefully another RECEIVER can take that spot. Because we are down two RECEIVERS. And our OFFENSE is the problem right now. An offense with ONE reliable receiver to throw to.

Are we going to shut Cinci out next week or something? Or are they going to score some points?

Probably another special teamer to fill his spot. Marcus Smith maybe?

I agree with you on Boren, but IIRC didn't they release Bynes? ... Bc

They still have 4 healthy wide receivers on the roster and need 2 in the game at any one time (obviously more gives some more options, but with 2 receiving TEs, they can run most plays with 2 wrs). They have 6 healthy linemen on the roster and absolutely need 5 in the game at any one time. Despite your MA(so)N-crush it will probably not be a receiver.

But is one guy going to make a difference on ST's coverage? And don't they supposedly have a bunch of good ST's guys? Boren could get a shot. I would say Mason if Boldin was out the rest of the way because he knows the offense and outside of Torrey, we don't have much.

Looks like it is Tackle DJ Jones, whoever that is. Have to think that is bullish for Yanda, no? Unless he is a swing Guard. If Yanda were going to be inactivated, I can't imagine they wouldn't want a reserve interior lineman available.
