what do we want the Squealers to do this year?
what do we want the Squealers to do this year?
1) collapse (2-14 or so)
2) near-respectable 6-10, just good enough to not get a good draft pick.
3) make the playoffs so they can lose in the post-season to the Ravens.
I work at an airport and I see Pigsburgh fans flashing their colors almost every day. any ideas on good comments I can make to them?"Nothing stops these Baltimore Ravens. Beat them, injure them, shove them to the bottom of the standings, drag them into a hostile environment and mount a big lead, and they just keep trudging forward like nothing fazes them." 0-16
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

I like 6-10. Not bad enough to have hope for a fun off-season and drafting 2-3 studs, just a mediocre -to-poor season where everyone wonders whether to rebuild or not, extend key players or not - a nice year of confusion and tentative next steps!

9-7 missing waiting for another team to loose to possible get into the playoffs and having that team win in OT.
Nothing like building up their hopes and dreams and having them explode and come crashing back down to earth

I'll second Awalt's opinion.

of course I'm hoping for 0-16 but realistically as long as they have a losing record and we get a chance to kick em hard while they're down, I'll be fine.

0-16, the stadium catches fire and burns to the ground, Toothlessburger ends his career in a freefall bungee cord accident, Ward decides to return to his roots and moves to Korea to become some kind of Tibetian monk and it is declared a felony to wear a Stealturd jersey and a Yaankee hat to any public venue inside the city of Baltimore.

9-7 ~ 0-2 v. Ravens, steelers miss the playoffs.
Then they won't even have a top 10 draft pick to get excited about.

I like the idea of 6-10 but we must squash them twice. Nothing better than mashing them, especially at home so we can see thier fans go home with their tails between their legs....

Re: what do we want the Squealers to do this year?
I want them to be 7-9. Here is my reasoning...
They win the first 7 games and all of their fans get excited. Then in the first meeting against the ravens, Bart Scott severs Worthlessburger's torso on a vicious sack. Then a play later Ward breaks his hand when he does one of his standard dirty push offs at the top of his route.
The Ravens go on to shut out and embarass the Steelers.
Then the whole season falls apart and they lose their last nine games, putting the organization in shambles, the coach on the hot seat, and every player's (except Worthlessburger who will never play again) job in jeopardy.
On top of that at 7-9 they will be lucky to get a top ten draft pick and will probably have to trade up to get their next quarterback of the future.
Then we can all laugh at the fair weather Steelers fans who have always lived in Baltimore...
