Lets take a look at the Chargers defensive rankings:

Ranking 23rd in the NFL against the run
Ranking 6th against the pass.

Thus far at the half, the Ravens offense has passed 15 times, and run 11 times for 5.9YPC.
IMO, even though the Ravens are down by 10 at the half, they need to start feeding the ball to Rice and Williams to help keep Rivers off the field and to keep this defense somewhat rested. With the way they look at the half, they need all the rest they can get.
Feed the Chargers defense plenty of Rice.
