It's Your Decision... Do You Rest The Packers Key Players, Or Do You Go For 16-0?

The city of Green Bay calls you tomorrow morning and lets you make the call. Do you go for 16-0, or do you rest your players for the playoffs. Keep in mind your star receiver, Greg Jennings, left with a scary knee injury when the game was pretty much in hand.

I say go for football immortality. They won the Superbowl last year. It's rare for a team to be able to flirt with 16-0.

    You say what?

16-0. For sure. You have a bye anyway. There is risk of people getting rusty as much as being 'tired.' The only feasible reason to sit someone is to make the chances of injury 0% as opposed to the 1 or 2% it might be otherwise. I say got for 16-0 and keep up the stretch of trying to win every game you play. It has worked up to that point. Now, that isn't the same as keeping in players once the game is in hand. I would pull people once the game was won, regardless of the point in the game.

Keep doing what you are doing and playing the players that you are playing - if you go 16-0 great, if you don't great - if you start doing anything that you are not currently doing you run the risk of losing the spark of being able to continue to do it.

No brainer, keep sharpening the ax or whatever analogy you want to use.

Ultimately you focus on winning the superbowl and if that means resting a guy that's banged up, so be it. But you don't sit starters out of fear or injury

Try to win each game one game at a time.

Go for 16-0 and rest players in the game if you can after it is in hand.

Keep playing with that sense of urgency, keep the momentum and maintain that competetive edge.
