  1. Two quarterbacks who hurt their teams by staying in

Undoubtedly Roethlisberger will be the subject of high praise for the next week because he so selflessly went back in after spraining his ankle ... except that he hurt his team because he couldn't plant and pass the ball well, and wasn't able to do much more than hand the ball off to their crappy RB, probably costing the team a TD when they had 1st and goal from the 2 and ended up with nothing. Charlie Batch would have done better.

Similarly, Colt McCoy put his team in good position for the winning TD, then was probably concussed by Harrison, and after Seneca Wallace throws an awesome pass to give the Browns 1st and goal from the 5, McCoy (who's been hot and cold all night *before* his likely brain injury 5 minutes earlier) stupidly returns to the game, promptly does his usual sprint-away-from-the-pressure-that-isn't-there-yet maneuver resulting in a 10+ yard loss and follows that with a ridiculous endzone INT.

Way to go QBs! You are so courageous and tough!

Big Ben couldn't throw at all. Evident on his INT. Also you could tell his O-line was holding the hell out of Browns players to keep Big Ben from getting hurt.

Dumb for him going back in, stupider for Tomlin and the team doctors to let him go back in. You're playing the Browns, who happen to not be able to stop the run. Big Ben being in the game kept Cleveland in a lot longer than they should have.

Steelers sending injured players back out and also claiming "concussion like symptoms" need some scrutiny by the league

    Shortcuts should not be taken

Batch didn't do ANYTHING the short time he was in. As for not being able to throw at all, I guess the final TD pass to Brown was thrown by Ward???

There needs to be a full blown investigation no doubt.

Batch could hand the ball off without hobbling like a cripple. They didn't need another score, the Browns stink so bad....but if you would enjoy having your star QB play injured against a bottom feeder team, your wish was granted.

Batch had two incomplete passes and a sack. Not good, but the guy's been on the sideline all year. Even if he wouldn't have been better in the second half, he would have been able to hand the ball off more effectively than Ben would. Meanwhile, the Browns are being the Browns and desperately trying to lose the game. Pittsburgh has *at least* two scoring drives foiled by Ben's ineffectiveness (the 4th and goal when all they can do is hand off, and the INT) prior to the TD, which is mostly Brown's YAC.

Why they had Mendy in for all 4 plays, is beyond me. That 4 play drive had nothing to do with Ben not being able to throw. It was an idiot OC and an oline that didn't do much. Redman should have been in. He's more of a pounder than Mendy will ever be.

Ben's interception was bad, no question there. It could have just been a bad decision though, not necessarily injury related.

Do you expect anything else from the Steelers? They'll turn a blind eye to the player if the player has brain damage later on in their life. They treated steroid abuse by their players the same way.

I agree with you on both accounts. Mendenhall isn't physical enough and I think Ben's int. was more bad judgement than it was injury related. There were atleast 2 defenders around H. Miller on that play.

except that he could not step into a throw, yes he was throwing but the ball had nothing on it. A good defense would have torn that apart. Batch would have won that game just as easily. Browns just stink. You all better hope Ben can move and throw next week.
