Not sure why Luck would want to put himself in a tough situation:

    1. Following directly in the footsteps of Manning...
    2. On an offense built directly around Peyton's specific skill set of being able to read the defense at the LOS.

Luck has potential, Peyyton;s great b.c of his knowledge AND expereince.

    Luck doesn;t have that yet.

And we haven't even touched upon the Dolts injured/aging/small-sized defense built only for playing with a lead...

I think its full rebuild time in Indy

Luck won't have much of a choice if Indy has the first pick and they select him. He could sit out and demand a trade or wait a year and go back into the draft but neither are good options.

If Manning can prove to them that he will be able to play (big IF) then they should consider trading their pick and getting a QB later in the draft. Extra picks would help them build on some of the other holes. But we all know they're gonna select Luck

Yeah, Luck is likely a Dolt.

Its just a matter of what to do with Peyton.

From a PR standpoint it absolutley would be in Irsay's best interest if Peyton just retires.

But if he can still sling the ball, given the likely suitor or two, it may be hard to convince Peyton of that.
