Chester McGlockton dies at the age of 42....
Four time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Chester McGlockton passed away early this morning. He was only 42. Early indications point to a heart attack.

I can remember a Pro Football Weekly publication from my teenage years back in the mid-90s that classified him as "King Kong in football pads.....when he feels like playing" (not verbatim, but that was the idea of the post).

A lot of ex-athletes, especially black dudes, tend to have heart troubles. Huge bodies, genetic links to heart disease, then they stop playing and gain weight, never a good combo.

Life expectancy of NFL player is lower than any other profession I believe; and it's due to these huge guys and what they put their bodies through. Guess that's why they make the big $
