No. He's only the best ILB to ever play the game.

    Point?

Why do you think Jim Miller hates the steelers?
I've heard him be quite positive about his time there with Cowher, saying he was one of the best coahes ever. And he said playing against Green and Lloyd (I believe) at LB in practice every day was one of the coolest (although tough) things he ever did...

No one's disputing Ben's toughness. He just likes to get attention for it.

BTW, It's not just ravens fans that think Ben is a drama queen. Keyshawn anmd John Clayton have said it numerous times on ESPN. OR get out a bit and try something other than a ravens board- Ask around, I'm sure you'd find out the answer at a Patriots board or a Browns board.

    Then there's Matt Hasselbeck:

“Do you think girls should be allowed to play in the NFL?” one school girl asked Hasselbeck when he visited her school. “Girls can play in the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger plays for the Steelers, right?” Hasselbeck said, “Joking. Totally joking. That was a joke,” Hasselbeck added, chuckling.

The point is why should anyone get upset that a player gets accolades. When that happens they have earned it.

Jim Miller started the opener against Jaxonville and was demoted after one year. He was not happy about it at the time.

You missed the point. It isn't about slobbering over good players. It is about manufacturing a story then bleating it ad nauseum, in this case about superhuman toughness. Ben wears a boot and suddenly there are two dozen stories about how tough he is, and he can wear a boot after any game he wants, since he has a perpetually injured foot.

In addition, the media doesn't slobber over Ray Lewis as much as Ben, not even close. And Ray is in his 16th season at a position where the average lifespan is a handful of years.

But we have established the fact that it upsets you when people point out how much the media sensationalizes Ben and how much Ben likes it.

    (a) The Ravens/Steelers rivalry is huge.
    (b) Roethlisberger in particular has been a thorn in the side of the Ravens.
    (c) He is, reportedly, an asshole.
    (d) Hiding behind his security detail, he took sexual advantage of a drunk girl at a bar in Georgia.
    (e) On a personal level, he appears to be the lowest form of filth.
    (f) He does have talent on the football field.

Still, given (a) through (e), don't act surprised that Ravens fans will talk about his flaws on a Ravens mesage board. Your boy has been in the news almost non-stop for *years*, acting like an a-hole or a dummy or both. How about we stop talking down about Roethlisberger when Steelers fans shut up about the murder charge, which was dropped, against Ray Lewis? Over ten years ago?

I think that would be unfair to us, because Roethlisberger does not stop with the stupid and bad ever and Ray has righted his character ship, but at least it would be *something*.

I imagine so. Afterwards he continued on to about 5-6 other teams, including a successful stint in chicago.

And since then, he's stated repeatedly how much he respects the Steelers, Cowher etc.

But yes, he does think Ben's a drama queen too.

But Ben is not even close to the best QB to ever play the game, so to compare his notoriety to that of Ray is not an apples-to-apples comparison.

I like you more when you aren't playing head games.
