Re: NFL Network
I have the DVR set for that already. Has the 2000 Ravens Americas Game aired yet?

Re: NFL Network
At least you guys have access to the NFLN, I don't & I have Comcrap here in Southern York County. Because I had Adelphia before Comcrap bought it, I never had, still don't have or can get it. I'll trade all the religous channels, shopping networks & woman's channels they have on my 500 channels for just 1 channel, the NFLN. But it won't happen because even though Comcrap beat the NFL in court recently which was about where they can place the channel in their lineup, the NFL is appealing. & don't tell me to to get satelite, not happening in my house, my neighbor has it & all he does is complain & he kept cable because of it.

Re: NFL Network
Did anyone else actually watch it?
You obviously don't see the totality of a camp in an hour show, which is also why its so dissapointing they spend so much time on BS.
That said, few things I wanted to comment on.
1) McNair did look much more comfortable in the offense which is encouraging.
However, it still looks like his arm is not that live. Still didn't see any passes that had any zip on it, or any deep passes that weren't a rainbow. Maybe he's saving it though.
2) McGahee looks good catching the ball, the once or twice he did. Randomly, he's not as big as I might have thought. Guess I'm just too used to watching Jamal's fat ass
3) Boller was running with the 2nd team and looked good. He and D'Will and Devard Darling looked good connecting.
4) Speaking of Devard, I think he sticks with the team. I think Clarence Moore is done. I also think Yamon Figurs has a bigger battle to stick with the team than I thought he would, if BJ Sams is recovered.
I see team WRs as Mason Clayton D Will Darling Figurs with Moore being cut
5) Back to Boller one more time, as we all know I'm in love with him for whatever reason. He was pretty good executing on his throws, only ugly play was either a dump off or late screen meant for Ross I think. Not a great pass, but Ross is also like 4' 12" or whatever (JK), but I still don't see what the team sees in Ross or why they kept Ross over making sure to keep Derek Anderson on lock as a future #2 or #3
6) They didn't show much of Troy Smith, but what they did show I liked. But since they didn't show him go through an 11 on 11, I still wonder how well he'll see the field. I'm looking forward to preseason to see what he can do.
7) The 1st team defense killed the 1st team offense. McNair looked ok until driving to the redzone, then he had 2 or 3 passes that were sorta ugly, but I couldn't tell if it was the defense confusing him or what. The last one they showed was well behind the reciever.
Overall, our QB depth is suddenly loaded, same with WR. Basically on offense, we're loaded at all positions besides RT. I hope Terry can pick it up now that he's getting all the reps.
I will be dissapointed if the team, and whoever calls the plays, and whatever QB runs them doesn't figure out how to explode downfield this year. We should really be a bit more of a passing team officially with Jamal gone.
And what I saw from those clips, we were throwing the ball downfield. besides rB dump-off, the shortest passes I saw were like 7 yards. I like that.

Re: NFL Network
At least you folks that have Comcrap have a chance at getting the NFLN. Up here in Hagerstown our cable company, Antietam, doesn't even offer the NFLN, regardless of what tier you purchase. They don't have it period.
The only way I can get the NFLN up here is if I went with one of the satellite dishes. However, I don't have any problems with my cable company, they are a thousand times better than Comcrap, which is what I had for years when I lived in Montgomery County.we aren't just loyal, we are obsessed. and we are violently so. we are baltimore, and we are the epitome of dysfunctionality.

Re: NFL Network
I have to be honest and say that the coverage of the ravens camp last night on the NFL Network was poor at best. The coverage on this site was much more in depth and detailed. that really is a credit to this site!
Living in Houston, Tx....still living, eating, breathing the Ravens

[QUOTE=ClericBlackDave;38966]Did anyone else actually watch it?
NO, and I even frogot to set my DVR.....
3) Boller was running with the 2nd team and looked good. He and D'Will and Devard Darling looked good connecting.
As per usual, DVD is shining in camp. Why can't this guy ever get on the field? I agree he makes it, he also has more ST ability then Moore.
4) Speaking of Devard, I think he sticks with the team. I think Clarence Moore is done. I also think Yamon Figurs has a bigger battle to stick with the team than I thought he would, if BJ Sams is recovered.
From the limited information that I have heard, BJ will not be making a "full" recovery and may be slightly hampered permanently.
6) They didn't show much of Troy Smith, but what they did show I liked. But since they didn't show him go through an 11 on 11, I still wonder how well he'll see the field. I'm looking forward to preseason to see what he can do.
As am I....
7) The 1st team defense killed the 1st team offense. McNair looked ok until driving to the redzone, then he had 2 or 3 passes that were sorta ugly, but I couldn't tell if it was the defense confusing him or what. The last one they showed was well behind the reciever.
The first team defense in shorts is better then msot other teams we will face this year. That includes the 7 on 7 squad... slight exaggeration....
Overall, our QB depth is suddenly loaded, same with WR. Basically on offense, we're loaded at all positions besides RT. I hope Terry can pick it up now that he's getting all the reps.
I agree abotu the first part, and am not worried abotuthe second part. He has looked good onthe left in his action thus far, I can't imagine he will struggle on the "easier" right side.
I will be dissapointed if the team, and whoever calls the plays, and whatever QB runs them doesn't figure out how to explode downfield this year. We should really be a bit more of a passing team officially with Jamal gone.
I do believe that simply Jamal mopving on will allow us to be more explosive. The team has more versatility in formations and the types of palys that can be called from specific formations. Initially this will help us by calling plays contrary to the typical based on formation, and as teams see this we will see more 7 in the box on all downs as they will have to worry abotu both run/pass at the same time.

Re: NFL Network
I have absolutely no idea what program you watched, but Boller looked far from good.
Your bias is so obvious.
McNair made a couple of nice passes with PLENTY of "zip" on them. Maybe you were in the bathroom when they came in.
Yes, Boller showed off his arm strength here and there. And didn't complete anything on them.
His completions were the dreaded "7 yard" ones that you always pick on McNair for.
And the one bad pass you talked about showed Bollers true colors. He got happy feed in a non contact minicamp drill. Rookie stuff. AGAIN.
Whatever QB runs the team? Sigh.
To other more important issues.
I do agree that McGahee looks smaller than you would think. No pads and being used to Jamal will do that to us.
Darling does this every year and this year is no different. I cannot figure out what's wrong with that guy. I don't think the coaches can either.
The interview with Ray and Reed was pretty good as well. It's obvious that everyone is on the same page with this team and that there is one goal.
