Re: Wondering how many Super Bowls the Ravens would have possibly won IF
Regardless though, prior to John Harbaugh this Ravens team didn't put much emphasis on the offense...especially the passing game.
Even though Billick was an offensive guy, for whatever reason he just couldn't get the offense going.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: Wondering how many Super Bowls the Ravens would have possibly won IF
After I had written all that, I thought the exact same thing. I really don't know that those two guys would even get along that well. It didn't take Ben long to get pretty opinionated about the offense he wanted to run (and good for him - these coaches can be a little tone deaf). Not sure how he and Billick would have gotten along in that regard.

Re: Wondering how many Super Bowls the Ravens would have possibly won IF
Just the other day I had the wild idea to experiment. I wanted to know what would happen if you combined stupidity with ignorance.
Now, thanks to the wonder of this modern marvel we called the internet, I have the answer.
When a troll starts a dumb thread, you get a nexus of suck that can only be described as a black hole of intelligence. IQ points are sucked into a never ending spiral of nothingness, erased for all eternity.
Shame. With the influx of newbies this forum needed all the brain cells it could muster."A moron, a rapist, and a Pittsburgh Steeler walk into a bar. He sits down and says, “Hi I’m Ben may I have a drink please?”

I just wish Bisciotti could just create a sham holding company and buy the O's.

Re: Wondering how many Super Bowls the Ravens would have possibly won IF
LOL at Billick "not developing QBs."
Yeah, everyone else in the NFL had such luck with Scott Mitchell, Stoney Case, Tony Banks, Trent Dilfer, Elvis Grbac, Chris Redman, Jeff Blake, Kyle Boller, and Anthony Wright. By the time McNair got here he was D-O-N-E done hence why Tenn was willing to let him go. By this logic, Mike Shanahan sucks at developing QBs because McNabb sucked last year and Rex Grossman and John Beck suck.
And also LOL at Billick "tying himself" to Boller. Boller started 10 games as a rookie and played not too terribly for a rookie. Certainly showed some hope. Then he started in 2004 and 2005. So he started for 2.5 seasons, not 5. In 2006 we traded for McNair, who himself was pretty awful. In 2007 we had no choice but to go back to Boller because McNair couldn't throw the ball beyond 5 yards. Then Billick got fired, Boller's contract was up but Bisciotti demanded he re-sign for a year. Of course we drafted Flacco, Boller got hurt and Troy Smith almost died. The rest is history.
I just get so tired of seeing so much wrong every time I hear anyone bash Billick. It's ridiculous. He didn't want Boller in 2003 any more or less than Ozzie did. They both were totally and completely infatuated with Byron Leftwich, which probably would have been worse because mediocrity sticks around longer than awful. And we wouldn't have Suggs.

How many Super Bowls would the Ravens have won IF Ozzie Newsome was as good drafting WRs and QBs as he is drafting RBs and D players?

What if we had Jerry Rice, Joe Montana and Walter Payton all in their prime. Heck throw in Deion Sanders next to Chris McAlister in their prime. How about adding Lawrence Taylor next to Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs?
I wonder how many Superbowls we would have won?
