Re: Absolute HORRIBLE officiating
Beyond bad. I know the whole "we should play so well it does not matter" line, but this is the worst I have seen since the detroit debacle. We are at least within a TD if the refs weren't f!@#ing us.
Actual user comment from a yahoo sports article:

Re: Absolute HORRIBLE officiating
You know something is wrong when the first four challenges all go in favor of the coaches and the original calls are reversed. Then add the Pollard personal foul, the one-way ejection call, and the stoppage of play because "Jacksonville didn't have 11 men on the field" (WTF is that??) and the officials have some explaining to do.
Of course, the Ravens sucked royally, so they deserved to lose.

Re: Absolute HORRIBLE officiating
The Ayanbadejo penalty call was questionable, but the ejection was ridiculous. I have seen a hundred instances of players doing far worse and no one even considered ejecting them.
Teeny-weeny silver lining: at least it did not cost us the game. Our putrid offense cost us the game. OK, not so much of a silver lining after all. Doh.

Re: Absolute HORRIBLE officiating
Win or lose, the officials were terrible. The Jags picked up more penalty yards than the Ravens, actually. The call on BA was terrible, the non-calls on the Jag's DBs were attrocious. And they still missed a few False Starts by Oher.
It was just poor, poor officiating all around. Not to excuse the Ravens for their own self-inflicted wounds.

Re: Absolute HORRIBLE officiating
The announcers seemed to be all over the officiating the whole game. That's how you know you aren't being a homer and it really is that bad.

Re: Absolute HORRIBLE officiating
They were really bad with the fumble calls. The Ravens had to burn 2 of their challenges...oh, wait, they get one back if they were right. Dumb, dumb rule with the challenges...you shouldn't penalize a team for officiating mistakes.
The only thing worse than the officiating was the Ravens "offense".

Once again, the need for full time refs is abundantly clear.
Shameful display last night, with both teams getting the shaft at some point.
Certainly NOT an excuse for that steaming pile of poo we witnessed, however.

Re: Absolute HORRIBLE officiating
Agreed. The officials certainly didn't cost them the game. Shoot, if Cundiff makes his FG, they probably win, since Harbs wouldn't have gone for the onsides kick at the two minute warning with a one point lead, and I don't think they could've gone the length of the field on the defense. But I digress...
