Thread: Not nit-picking

  1. Not nit-picking

but was there any offensive line holding calls on either team in yesterday's game? Although I saw quite a few holds, especially on Suggs where it looked like the guy wanted Suggs' jersey, I don't remember one holding call..

JJ got held like a mofo when he sacked Schaub.

On the play before the Jacoby Jones TD, Ngata was held like crazy. He threw his arms up in the air and it didn't get called.

The Texans got away with alot of that but it is what it is.

Texans fans are bitching hard about the refs. I'm never a fan of refs but if you lost by 15 you shouldn't be blaming them.

Dan Dierdorf commented that the refs did not call the hold on Johnson since he got the sack anyway.

Did you see them triple team Ngata? Just thought that was funny.

Yes I did see holding but oh well... probably had ran out of their penalty quota

At least, Houston was not forgetting about the most dominant defensive lineman in the league, like some teams........

It was hilarious! But also the ULTIMATE respect.

Though it makes me wonder why we couldn't get to Schaub more if they were constantly triple-teaming one of our linemen...

There was not ONE offensive line holding call on either team..just a little weird if you ask me...There wasn't any face-masking calls either :grbac:

  11. Re: Not nit-picking

if the refs weren't calling holding on the lines, maybe we should have held a little more to protect Flacco...I watch the O-lines when I watch games and I saw a whole lot a holding going on the Texans side..I did see a couple on the Ravens, but many more on the Texans...just sayin'

I do not think the officials had a particularly good day. They missed several blatant face-masks on both sides of the ball along with a couple of late QB hits/blows to the head....again on both sides.

It seemed like they were "letting them play", but you have to have a line somewhere.
