Trent Green = Steve McNair last year
Why won't the Chiefs just give him up already? You basically had this same situation last year with the Titans and Ravens over McNair.
Its clear that the Chiefs have moved on from Green. Just like the Titans had from McNair. But yet they're taking this hard line with him like they have the nuts here. They don't.
Just like the Titans did with the Ravens, the Chiefs will end up takign from the Dolphins whatever they can get, or they'll regret it.
Just silly they way they are hanging on.

In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Re: Trent Green = Steve McNair last year
As I recall, Mr. T, the Titans didn't get a better pick from us. Its stayed firm at the 4th rounder Ozzie was offering.
Only, it was in the next draft and not the current.
And, McNair's money was on the books / cap, so it may have affected what Tennessee could or couldn't do with Free Agents in that FA period.
Thats why the Chief will regret it. You take a player like Green who played well for you and piss him off, and what do you get for it? Not an increased pick, and less cap space to sign players.
It makes no sense, at least to me.Last edited by ClericBlackDave; 05-23-2007 at 05:14 PM.

Agree with T....the are just trying to get more. I am sure the Chiefs are ready to move on without him. Come on, they have Damon Huard
