In AFC there is NE and everybody else

That's just the way I see it, Superbowl runs through Foxboro.

I didn't make any preseason predictions but if you asked me right now I have to say New England is the favorite, Brady can't be stopped.

We say that every year and then they choke in the first round. Yawn.

Same goes with the Chargers supposedly every year then it doesn't happen.

The Patriots fall apart in the playoffs every time.

My superbowl prediction of Eagles v. Pats is looking pretty good, although I'm positive it won't be right.

    They do?

Last time I checked, they had three rings.

7 years ago they had a dynasty. But they haven't won a playoff game since 2007.

New England will be there or thereabouts, but it's still week 2.

While how you start is important, how you finish is much more so.

The Packers, for example, started 3-3 last year. I seem to recall they ended the year with jewellery.

Re: In AFC there is NE and everybody else

New England got busted for 'major' cheating, to get the three rings that they have. This is now the third year running that this statement has been made about them. Their offense looks unstoppable. Yet, a few teams will show up during the regular season and 'touch' Brady. The defense will be exposed. The public will overlook it, because Brady will still win them more than ten games. That very weakness will come back to haunt them in the playoffs when Brady is once again 'touched' and the defense can't stop anybody.

There may not be a clear cut front runner this year. Everybody has weaknesses. Teams like Baltimore and Chicago have shown inconsistency. Teams like New Orleans, New England and Atlanta, lack the defense. Philadelphia cannot stop the run. The Jets struggle against teams that can stop the run. Pittsburgh struggles against teams that can throw deep and/or spread them out. Tampa Bay still struggles against the better teams in the league.

Miami is mediocre to bad. And they hung with NE.
I don't see any team in the AFC as "untouchable" yet.
