    Sometimes.

I try to play the game so it's challenging, but still fun. The one game I lost (Pittsburgh at Pittsburgh) for some reason every pass I threw got picked up (or so it seemed). Boldin and Evans were hurt going into the game and Dickson was hurt during the game.

I think I threw 3 or 4 picks that game, haha.

That's weird, that you threw that many INTs. The way my games have been going if one of the stars is hurt then the defense will gear up to stop the others. You should've found it easy to pass but difficult to run.

Now I have to let Flacco and Rice go after my third or fourth season. I have a second year QB that's an overall of 93 and a second year RB over all of 89. Can't really see keeping Joe and Ray for multi-millions of dollars a season when they'll be back-ups.

I'm having trouble picking a realistic difficulty. I'm playing around with sliders, but everything is still too easy.

Operation Sports has a lot of sliders to choose from.

It'll take some trial and error, but there are some that will challenge you fairly (key word) no matter your skill level.

Also, they'll be tweaking them for quite some time as they play around with the new game's physics and dynamics. There is also the matter of patches which tend to throw sliders off as well. It's a season long process. I usually don't find A+ sliders until the season is well underway and the final patch has been released.

Also x2, the place to stay up to date on Madden news (such as upcoming roster updates) is pastapadre.com.

I kind of default to All-Pro, but I mostlty change the sliders around to suit my ability.

That way the games are challenging (sometimes I lose), but they're not so ridiculous that they aren't fun.

I tend to play the same way Wicked. I like it to be challenging and not feel like I'm just dominating non stop.

Just curious, how long are your quarters? Those stats are pretty realistic, which is what I've been trying to get. I've been doing 7 minute quarters on All-Pro. My offensive stats aren't too bad (passing's a little low), but it's tough to get accurate defensive stats.

Call me crazy, but sometimes I like to lose. Rolling over every team every season just gets boring. You may as well start simming all the games and just playing the off-seasons. Having to make a late drive to win the game (or make one more stop on defense) is fun as hell. Besides, on the few occasions where I do get beat, I'll remember it, and it makes the 'rematch' - whenever it happens - a lot more fun (after Baltimore ruined my perfect season, I was so hoping to see them again in the playoffs).

Finished my first season the other night. I didn't jot down the stats.

Went 15-1, only loss at home vs Baltimore (go figure). Lost to the Falcons in the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh took a 21-17 lead with about 2.5 minutes left after being down 17-7 at halftime. Atlanta drove right back down for a TD and went up 24-21, and I couldn't get back down the field for a FG attempt. Turner went beast mode and Julio Jones was just ridiculous, would just grab every pass thrown his way, no matter how hard I was hitting him or how well I was covering him.

Traded Farrior for Rodgers-Cromartie early in the season to get some more help at CB. Mendenhall missed 12 weeks, Redman did more than fine in his place. After the season Ward retired. Cut Aaron Smith. Franchised Mendenhall (2011 is the last year of his contract). Haven't decided if I want to try to trade him or not.

Just getting into my second preseason now. The expanded rosters are a great feature...kind of fun letting an UDFA make the team and seeing how far he can go.

I'd probably be farther along but I was working on trophies. Finally got my platinum last night, so now I can focus just on the franchise.

Re: Finished my first season with the Ravens in Madden 12

Steel - I play on 8min quarters. I'm mostly an offense guy, so sometimes I'll sim the defensive side of the ball.

I went through the off-season...here's what I did with Baltimore:

    Cut//Did Not Re-sign/Could not re-sign:
    LG, Ben Grubbs
    MLB, Ayanbadejo
    DT McKinnie
    SS, Zibby
    RG/C, Mattison
    TE, Wilson

    Traded:
CB, Foxworth to San Francisco for a 5th round pick.

    Re-signed:
    Rice, 6 year deal.
    Ngata, 6 year deal.
    Nakamura, 3 year deal.
    Webb, 4 year deal.
    C. Williams, 4 year deal.
    L. Williams, 3 year deal.
    Koch, 4 year deal.
    Cundiff, 4 year deal.
    J. McClain, 3 year deal.
    JJ, 1 year deal.
    Ellerbe, 1 year deal.

    I also re-upped Flacco for 6 years.

    Free Agency:
    OG, Dan Connolly
    C, Phil Costa
    SS, Taylor Mays

Draft: (imported from NCAA...so these are real guys)
1 - MLB, Korey William, Southern Miss
    2 - OG, J. Troutman, Penn State
    3 - C, Mike Brewster, Ohio State
4 - RB, Montee Ball, Wisconsin
5 - CB, Brandon Boykin, Georgia
5 - OLB, Kenny Tate, Maryland
6 - LT, Donald Stephenson, Oklahoma
    7 - QB, Ryan Tannehill, Texas A&M

I switched my defensive scheme to a 4-6 (I normally do this anyway...) I drop Suggs down to DE, move Ngata to DT, move A. Jones to DT, move Kruger to DE, and move JJ to MLB.

    RE - Suggs, McPhee
    DT - Ngata, A. Jones
    DT - Cody
    LE - Kruger, McAdoo

    SLB - McClain, Tate
    MLB - JJ, K. Williams
    WLB - Kindle, Ellerbe

RCB - C. Williams, Webb, Boykin
    LCB - J. Smith, Carr, C. Brown

    FS - Reed, Nakamura
    SS - Pollard, Mays

Offensively I keep it pretty much the same however I do like the pass-balanced package and I also really like Atlanta's offensive package.

    QB - Flacco, Tyrod, Tannehill
    RB - Rice, Allen, Ball
    FB - Leach
WR - Boldin, Doss, Evans, T. Smith, L. Williams
    TE - Dickson, Pitta
    LT - McKinnie, Harewood, Stephenson
    LG - Connolly, Troutman
    C - Costa, Brewser
    RG - Yanda
    RT - Oher, Reid

    149 att 1178yards 16tds

    Williams
    67att 532 yards 8tds

    Dickson
    72 rec 1071 yards 7 tds

    Evans
    64 rec 1053 yards 10 tds

What did you trade for Baldwin and Julio Jones?
