Re: Steelers at Ravens: Predict the score
Ravens have too many new pieces recently put in place compared to Puttsburgh. The short training camp favors teams with a lot of returning starters.
I think we drop this one at home but beat them at their place in November.
Steelers 24
Ravens 17
I would be absolutely delighted to be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time. Ha.

The OFFICIAL Week 1 Ravens v. Steelers Prediction Thread
Well.. since I'm pretty much over here full time now, might as well move the ol' prediction thread over.
My biggest concern going into Week 1 is our patch-work O-line vs. the Squeelers pass rush. That and our questionable depth at WR with Reed suspended and Smith with the dropsies..
I really expect to see a sloppy game from both teams. But I think the Steelers will be a little more prepared and don't have as much personnel turnover as we have had over the last few weeks. The Steelers also have discovered another good receiver to go with Mike Wallace.
Steelers +3 is probably a safe Vegas bet...
Steelers 20
Ravens 13

Re: The OFFICIAL Week 1 Ravens v. Steelers Prediction Thread
I think the Ravens will get better as the year goes along, but the first few weeks could be a little rough. The o-line is a work in progress, which will effect both Flacco and Rice's performance. The defense, while getting more pressure, is still giving up yards through the air (yes, even the #1's).
Steelers 27, Ravens 17Never get in a fight with a pig; you both get muddy, and the pig likes it...

Re: Steelers at Ravens: Predict the score
Haven't you had enough already though? Where is the harm in optimism?
I am taking the 2006type outlook 31-7 Ravens. Suggs finishes what he started in the playoffs and gets 3 sacks and Nagta chips in with a painful pair.
The Ravens are ready for some payback, and I truly believe they will get it this time, go up 21-7 again but finish them off instead of fumbling, bumbling and choking away another golden opportunity.
