I would be shocked if Burress makes it thru the entire year healthy.

Well, as a for instance, look at the Steelers roster. Roethlisberger is the starter and they like Batch as his back-up.

My guess is that the Steelers will look for a trading partner for Dixon. If they find one (and it won't be the Ravens) they'll probably keep Leftwich as the three. If not, they will probably dump Leftwich. Or they will let Dixon catch on elsewhere.

If they become available, you'd think the Ravens would be well served to look at one of those two options.

The Skins will probably drop Kellen Clemmons. Though I suppose he's no better than Brodie Croyle.

Here's another thought. If you are satisfied that Taylor can handle a game or two as the annoited #2, then don't sign a verteran #3 now. If Flacco goes down for more than 2 games, sign the veteran when you need him. Let Taylor play immediately, and give the veteran a week or two to step in if and when he's needed. You save some bucks, and a needed roster spot, and probably get no worse of an option later than what is out there now.

I subscribe to the we're screwed if Joe goes down school anyway.

James Walker added his assessment of Jah Reid from the Chiefs game.

For that matter why hasn't Ozzie resigned Trent Dilfer? Way to drop the ball Ozzie!
My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron
