The Crazy Newshound has found a new Ravens article.

Thousands of Ravens fans are packing M&T Bank as the team hosts what will be the only practice of training camp that is open to the public.

WBAL's Scott Wykoff says fans arrived as early as 6:30 a.m., 90-minutes before parking lots opened.

The team took the field just before 10 a.m. to cheers from a crowd that is estimated at around 20,000.

The practice is expected to take about three hours.

Team president Dick Cass told WBAL that he is very impressed with the turnout.

"It's a great testament to the popularity of the team that we have this many people come out to watch practice," Cass told WBAL's Brett Hollander during today's live training camp special.

The team usually practices at McDaniel College in Westminster, but the NFL lockout forced the Ravens to move training camp back to team headquarters in Owings Mills. That is a facility that is not open to the public.

Cass said that the team hopes to be back at McDaniel College next year so that more fans can watch training camp practices. Last year, the team drew more than 110,000 fans during the month long training camp.

The crowd has watched a special teams practice and then a split squad with one squad with Joe Flacco at quarterback at one end of the field, and another with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback at the other end of the field.

The young recieving corps has dropped a number of passes from Flacco. Ed Reed did pick off one pass thrown from Flacco.

The practice is taking place less than 24 hours after the new collective bargaining agreement reached between the league and the players was signed.

Cass told WBAL that 10 year deal gives the league and its players more time to plan for future seasons.

The Ravens play their first pre-season game on Thursday night in Philadelphia.

WBAL's live training camp broadcast continues until 3 p.m. on AM 1090 WBAL.
