What bettors think of the Ravens now
Odds of winning the Super Bowl have dropped from opening 10:1 to current 16:1.
Perhaps we'll see a spike if Casey Rabach dons a purple uniform again! In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Re: What bettors think of the Ravens now
I think thats a good thing, if I was a betting man.
I think we're a better team now than we were 2 weeks ago. Trim the dead/aging weight. Our core players that will determine our success are still experienced players (Flacco, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Haloti Ngata Terrell Suggs, Michael Oher, Ben Grubbs, Marshall Yanda, Anquan Boldin, and Ray Rice).

I love how the Redskins dropped from 40:1 to 100:1. It seems that there is little faith in John Beck as their starting QB.

Re: What bettors think of the Ravens now
It's not about that, it's about other teams improving themselves more through free agency. The Pats, Jets and Eagles all took pretty big steps forward and eat into our portion, cause they won't eat into other teams that are already 50:1 or something crazy like that.
If you're not moving forward, you're falling behind, according to most. Thing is, this year, I don't buy that to be the case with the shortened off-season.

Re: What bettors think of the Ravens now
Change isn't necessarily a good thing in the NFL.
With the shortened offseason, teams with talent in-house and teams with the same coaching staffs do have an advantage...
[Insert Cam crack here!]
I think we're betting that our promising young guys that have had a year or two in the ravens system may be more ready to go, right away than a middle-tier FA signing.

Re: What bettors think of the Ravens now
Funny thing is, my book has us favored to win the division but 8-1 to win the afc while Pittsburgh is 4.25-1.
Guess they are thinking we don't get by them in the playoffs again?
