So what FAs from outside the team will the Ravens sign???

So...I've been out of the loop and am trying to play catch-up a bit. Could someone fill me in on what potential free agents the Ravens are looking at over the next few weeks and which ones are most likely to be Ravens? Any input is greatly appreciated.

I would think the dollar store would be open soon since free agency has been going on for 3 days and this is an accelerated market. Free agents can practice until August 4th anyhow. I would think Ozzie would start to make some moves soon especially since Yanda and the draft picks have been signed. He's got time on his hands now to make moves.

As far as catching you up, I defer to the more knowledgable folks here to give us some perspective. While the SunSpot forum could be helpful at times, it's decayed into almost a 50:50 ratio of decent football threads to trolls/stupidity. I think you'll like this place more.

Welcome strez ! Not exactly about FAs, but since Yanda was resigned (great move, Ozzie), I would hope they're talking to Ngata about a multi-year deal. That would drop our cap number, and perhaps allow a substancial FA to be signed. BTW, I think all our draft choices have been signed... Bc

Yes Bc all of our draft choices have been signed so I hope they are working on Ngata now.

Funny you mention Ngata. I haven't heard any of the guys who were Franchised around the league signed to long term deals yet.

Also haven't heard anything from Jamison or Aaron as to whether a deal is close between the Ravens and Ngata.

I think most people are taking it as a given that the Ravens are going to keep Ngata no matter what, so maybe negotiations aren't as pressing or interesting...
